Nodded off after my alarm, so didn't do yoga this morning. Managed Norwegian practice though. A beautiful day, 15°C on the way to work & 18° on the way home! Work went fine & worked with my favourite teacher
Assembled a new deck chair once I was home, & one I d assembled last year, then waited in the garden for a customer. Read my book in the sun until she arrived. Got the washing in, all towels had dried 😊
Did a sewing job after tea, then some of the ironing.
Grateful for a beautiful day, reading in the garden, it's nearly the long weekendUse it up, wear it out

@grandmanerd sounds a good plan. Hope it all comes to fruition.I am sitting with wet hair and a coffee. I will need to get dressed, dry my hair and get ready to go to the dentist's, then work after. I have had my breakfast and made my packed lunch.Spoke to the younger of my 2 brothers yesterday evening. His partner's funeral was on Wednesday, and it was a hard day for him, her children and his step grandson, but it was needed closure I think, as he said he felt much more up to finishing sorting everything out now. He even mentioned possibly visiting our other brother, who has cancer, in the next couple of weeks. Not a NSD, as I will have to pay for the dentist and parking.8

Letting Go of the 'Behind' Mentality
4 Things to try when you wish you were further ahead
One Don't Waste Time Arguing With Reality
Prevent yourself from getting caught in merely wishing you were in a different place. Instead practice radical acceptance - acknowledging where you are and where you'd like to be and take intentional steps forward to get there.
Two Remember How far You've Come
An incredible shift occurs when you stop comparing your journey against that of others and instead start measuring your progress by how far you've come. Ask yourself What do I have now that I once only wished for? How have I grown?
Three Focus on What Brings You Joy
Oftentimes the area or two in which you are 'behind' takes up a disproportionate amount of your focus. Try redirecting your attention to other areas of life and remember the little things that spark joy, gratitude and presence with what you do have.
Four Remember that Everything Worth Having Takes Time
There is no expiration date on your success and the life you crave will take time. Your consistency will pay off.

@grandmanerd - I like number 4 of your list 😉
I live by the mantra that growth is not a destination, its a journey . It allows me to move forwards and explore new opportunities without feeling that I've failed or veered off track 😁
Yesterday I was grateful for ordering a new carpet without getting some 'hard sell' carp from the salesperson; for finding everything I needed at the supermarket, for finding a good and healthy use for my leftovers and for spotting newts in my big pond 😍😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

Oh one and two for me!! thanks @grandmanerd.
A strange day working from home, just me and the dog (housemates are away). Was very tired in the morning but a walk in the park at lunchtime perked me up a bit. Made cheese scone dough ready to bake them tomorrow morning for a friend's birthday picnic.
Morning pages done, grammar point done, chapter of a non fiction book read, some cleaning and washing done... my only exercise will be the three dog walks, but that's enough for today. My first NSD of May... woop.
I am grateful for time to myself, for beautiful sunshine, line dried (well, almost dry) clothes, and for the dog keeping me company.Student loan £5655

Went to the pharmacy this morning before work to get a prescription only to find they've changed opening hours, so walked back home and started work. Absolutely crazy manic day with an untold number of frustrations. Made it back to the pharmacy at lunchtime and grabbed the prescription. Finished work about 6.30 in the end but am now on call this evening. I think I need to phase myself out of being on call as I'm often shattered, the extra money is great but I also need to recharge. So glad it's a long weekend!Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24

Today I am grateful for Pip going into school for the last day, for being warm and dry inside, for how online banking makes life easier, for Pie in the Sky, for aldee marmite being gluten free.

2 lots of yoga done first thing, followed by Du0ling0.
Made my lunch & write the shopping list whilst eating breakfast. Made sure DS3 was up to catch his bus for 2 maths exams. He thinks he did ok.
An up & down day at work. Rushed to town afterwards, dropped off sewing & picked up more. Collected mum, then met DS3 & GF at L1DL, as he wanted to introduce GF to my mum. Dropped mum home, colle ted DS & GF from the chip shop, then drove home. Put the shopping away after tea, then sat knitting & watching TV, with my Friday night treats.
Quite tired now, but after a hopefully good sleep, me & DH are heading over to a nearby island in the morning, to hike up a 700m+ high hill!
Grateful for another sunny day, chat with staff before work, it's now the long weekend 🎉😃Use it up, wear it out
