We're off to the nightmare that is IK3A soon, to use their free kitchen planning service. We have decided on a colour for the units and counter top, and more or less on the layout. Go us!Thank you for May, grandmanerd. I love the different foci each month, but with the underlying holistic approach.Looking forward to June and juggling my time and energy is a new way.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Evening turtles
Spent most of last night reading random articles from my new NatGeo membership, think I've got my money's worth already haha.
Got up today and did a short workout before logging on early to work. Worked from home and I think I got everything on my to do list done. Popped to power pilates after work and am now on call.
Still no offer letter from this job, I called one of the managers who I know and asked them for the lie of the land... there were several red flags so now I am rethinking it. Basic salary is the same, job level is the same and it's a longer commute so it may not be worth the change if they're in just as much of a mess as my current place. Time to do some thinking over the weekend.Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24
Pay off credit card by December 2024 - £1,450/£2,0007 -
ooohhh I hope the project comes together smoothly @apple_muncher, it sounds like a lot of things have fallen into place to make this happen.
Hold your nerve @lcc86, i'm sure you'll make the decision that's right for you now.
I am just reflecting back on this awesome challenge, thank you so much @grandmanerd. Taking stock at the start of the month showed me that some things were going very wrong with my work-life-health balance and I've spent much of the month finding ways to correct that. I was also very aware that this would be a important month for family and am pleased to have connected with some people very important to me, and mainly in ways that didn't cost money, but also in a few that did. It's natural that these are bit clustered while my daughter's home, so I've tried to enjoy them for the experiences they are and build a bit of frugality in where I could.
I've overcome my feelings about taking time for myself and doing things alone, and my current solo holiday is going so well I have extended it by a night so I return now on Sunday, cultured up but also rested up.
I've done some important but long procrastinated over things at the flat and to do with life admin, although more of the same still hangs over me,it is good to see some things finally coming off the list. I've set a few things up so that June begins hopefully. Looking forward to joining you all on the new thread 2mrw!

Did a different, longer yoga routine this morning, so then had to rush fitting everything else in! Was nice to do some different poses though. Work went ok, but boy was I glad when the bell rang at 3.30!! Did a couple of errands on the way home.
Had a nap after tea, I was definitely needing it. Made an anniversary card for DH ready for next week, then did the ironing. Started knitting the first sleeve of my cardigan, then watched Corrie with DS1, still reeling from last night's episode - didn't see that one coming!
Grateful for it being the weekend, for finally getting a gift voucher I'd won 2 months ago!! The owner of our post office saying she'll save me some Ragged Robin seeds, cos I gave her some different seeds last yearUse it up, wear it out
