Sending hugs @DawnW, it's not easy looking after poorly people & being stuck in the middle between folk.
Great that you've made progress with the house @grandmanerd. Hope your knees feel better once they're rested.
A busy day today! Went to town first thing, bought 6 bags of compost for DH, which filled the boot! Met with a customer, dropped sewing off & collected more, thene & mum trawled the CSs. Got a new to me washing basket, which I've been needing for ages, it's the same as one I had that lasted me for over 15 years! Had my haircut, then trawled some more. Didn't see much/snything in the last 3 we visited, so we treated ourselves to sausages in a roll from the snack van. It turned out to be cheaper than I'd imagined. Did my monthly food shop & managed to save £20 with the 10% off.
Took ages to empty the car, then I had a nap for an hour. I was shattered!
After tea I brought the washing in & finished weeding a border. It looks loads better now. Watched TV for an hour.
Grateful for a lovely day with mum, a new wash basket, a tidy borderUse it up, wear it out

It's Saturday. Am grateful I made it through the week. Health terrible. Schedule - too much - nothing I got done was really for me, just everyone else in the household. Running back and forth between my house and my sister's - at least she only lives a few miles away. Taking her poor dog out several times a day - she really should let the dog be pts but she can't yet. Dog has no real life - he is carried out, stumbles around for several minutes, does his thing, then is carried back in to his water bowl, then back to his bed and is given treats or dinner. That is it. Paramedics only called once this week. But is done for now. Afraid to draw up schedule for next week. But needs must.8

Thinking of you and hoping that there is a vast improvement quickly for you. Sounds as though you need to put yourself first and let others see to themselves for a while .... you know what they say about putting your own oxygen mask on first. (((hugs))) XX
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

@DawnW and @weenancyinAmerica things sound incredibly tough, sending love. People who care about us mean well when they try to get us some distance from intense caring situations, but that can be another burden in itself. I wish you both strength and also rest.
I have had a fairly busy few days, fatigue has been a bit worse, it's fair to guess that the two correlate! Took dad shoe shopping at a local ish factory outlet, he struggles with softer plastic soles and had not found anything to suit in any of the shops we had tried in 3 towns nearby. A young and polite attendant took his time with him and explained leather soles arent the norm now, he found a pair of rubber ones that feel just about hard enough under his feet to him, so partial success and I know he does have a spare pair of shoes that fit, to go with the many pairs that dont! He wanted jeans and was persistent that Levi shop was the place to go.... it wasn't quite his style! Have found some online to order for him instead. I came home and slept for 5 hours straight!
Spent a bit of time with my cousin's kids yesterday, we went on a local rockpool walk. I thought it would keep their attention on the outdoors more than if I just took them rock pooling myself. I learnt some things and they are keen to go again just the three of us, so I count that as a win. It's nice to switch off a bit and learn something totally different!
I have paying guests in the flat the next couple of nights. My mammoth nap was when I was ideally getting it ready for them so that added a bit of pressure to Friday, but it is getting easier each time. I have some friends coming in to test it out as self catering whole flat later in the week, they are swapping this for some haircuts (she is my hairdresser) and photos / video clips I can use in advertising as she also has a real eye for that. I am actually away myself for a few days, so had a mega push to get the other rooms ready last night and have the cleaner coming in to changeover the main bedroom. It has been worth it tbh in getting me to finish a few more jobs off, anyway! I blitzed the kitchen cupboards, hung some more pictures, sorted out bedding, and there must have been other things but I can't think what!
I bailed on going to a wedding party last night due to fatigue, it was a very informal affair so I hoped not disruptive to not be there, but my energy levels were so low. I was due to be up and out and have left already this morning for my few days away, but I am still in bed with a cuppa summoning strength. I think all has been done that is essential, and I do want to pack the car before it rains, so I should stir my sticks and get my packed lunch packed, all gentle progress towards the door!

CHOICE
is the most powerful tool we have. Everything boils down to choice.
We exist in a field of infinite possibilities.
Every choice we make shuts an infinite number of doors and opens an infinite number of doors.
At any point we can change the direction of our life by a simple choice.
It is all in our hands, our hearts and our minds

Hello Everyone
Really sorry for not posting. I've missed the whole of May. For some reason I can read on my i pad but cant' post. And, of course, I didn't have my laptop with me.
I had a lovely holiday and I feel loads better. I was walking two or three miles a day. So much better than before I went away when I could barely leave the house. And we didn't spend loads of money. So now we're back. At sixes and sevens and have a busy week with medical appointments.
Hope you are all well. Thinking in particular of Dawn and Wee Nancy but my best wishes to anyone who is needing a bit of a hug. xxxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep, for Dr Who, for Pip enjoying his dance show yesterday, for easy food, for starting my online marking work.

I had BH offers from 3 different garden websites. Went with the one with £14 off £35 spend but the all seasons raspberry and strawberry collections won't be delivered until December. I added 6 of my favourite tomato plant and 2 of the 'offers' - one was an end of season (already greatly reduced) flower border collection. There are other things I would like but I don't want to be overwhelmed with plants - even though gardening is therapeutic it's a bit of a distraction atm.
Decided to leave the clothes offer and duvet/ pillow/ mattress offers (will need them when I move but need the space more until then). I looked at pond plants/ maintenance stuff but it seemed expensive (separate collections to entice frogs, bees and dragonflies) and confusing so I ordered a slim second hand pond book which should tell me all I need to know before I take the next step.
Tried the new pill and I hate it. The protocol is complicated. It has to be taken on an empty stomach, separate from my other pills. It tastes absolutely vile and only a sip of water allowed and I felt 'uncomfortable' for most of the day. Will be firing off an email saying why I'm not taking it and requesting the old one back.
As a first step to sorting this house (at least enough so Mr and Mrs Builder can replace the non-working sink) I told DS3 to bring up my clean washing. He's been bringing up an armful at a time and it's trying to fall over (moved some to the bed).
Very big hugs to Dawn and weenancy and anyone else who needs or would like one. Glad the holiday was a success Toni'sfriend.
Grateful for books and films, making a few decisions (a lot of them on not buying stuff, for now - some things are/ will be needed), ibuprofen gel.

Morning turtles. Yesterday was a relatively quiet day, it was pony day, the weather was a bit iffy but I managed to time it quite well and we only had a tiny sprinkling of rain while we were out. It was nice and quiet, good to enjoy a bit of recharge time.
When I came home I did 4 loads of washing, the forecast was for showers so I kept it all inside but probably could've put it out for several hours as it didn't rain until the evening.
Bit of a quiet day, hoovered, read some of my book, and cooked some lunches for the week ahead.
Plan for today is to get the slow cooker going shortly, then head off to the gym. Need to go through my energy bills later to work out why we keep getting further into debit, I keep putting it off but need to get it done.Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24
Pay off credit card by December 2024 - £1,450/£2,0007
