I`ve taken the cards & the odd bits of trimmings down, will put all the christmas ornament away tomorrow, but I think Winter is such a dull dreary month I like to keep the tree, fireplace decor & window lights up for as long as possible, so they will be coming down on the 6th.:D0

I take mine down on New year's day- I've had enough by then, mind you we didn't put them up until the 21st Dec, must have a low tolerance of decorations.
I take the tree down, hoover all the needles, open the windows and treat myself to a bunch of spring flowers (from the other side of the world no doubt). A clean, fresh start to the new year
I am so glad you cleared this up. I want to get mine down but my MIL said it's bad luck till 12th night.
I want to repaint the walls before my OH goes back to work and he don't need no excuses not to do it lol xIf we attempt nothing, then we can achieve nothing. But if we try and fail, we still can gain.0 -

We've fetched down our decorations for another year, the first one in a new house.
Unrfortunately its left bits of sticky pad on the polystyrene coving and we're going to have a job cleaning this up.
We like to hang garlands round the edge of the ceiling and large garlands from the corners to the 'centre' or light fitting.
Anyone else do this? What do people use to hang their ceiling decorations?0
