  • Oh reading these posts makes me want to clear-up too but that is so unlike me:D

Will leave things up until after NYD as we have visitors that day but may take them down 2nd Jan which would be earlier than usual. Can't face thought of leaving it until weekend when having all those horrible 'back to work' feelings too!
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

Ours came down today. I am like a lot of others here and have to have everything put away before the New Year arrives. Love everything to be clean, fresh and tidy. Have hoovered, wiped down all the surfaces, bleached the sinks and loo, spritzed some air freshener and have some scented candles burning - can relax now!

Mine will be down tonight after the kids have gone to bed. A good clean up too, ready for the morning and another battering from the kids!
  • Took mine down on the 28th Dec after being up for a fortnight. They started to annoy me so down they come. Am in the middle of a big spring clean and waiting for Dad to come over and collect my tree. Fingers crossed that he manages to keep it alive for yet another year!

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Mine are coming down tomorrow - fresh start and clean house for 1st Jan 08 :D

My came down late last night it was totally doing my head in, it was in the way and took up too much space in the living room. Xmas sprit has already faded so roll along new year, new start and all that.........

Ours are coming down tomorrow, ready for the new year and DS's birthday on 1st. I'm fed up of them now even though this years tree (real) is the best one we've ever had and still looks lovely.

  • I took ours down today, as I am back to work tommorrow and wanted to have a proper polish and hoover before I go back. I only have one day off in the nest 2 weeks Friday so didn't want to leave it till then. We won't all have to sit craning our necks to see the tv round the tree now at least.

I don't actually plan this but I have noticed that I have taken them down on Boxing day the last few years. I clearly cannot wait to get rid of them - such a sense of relief afterwards!
