P & S have been and gone again.
I've been to Mr Al.....unable to find the shopping list that I wrote this morning. It's not on or under the table. I think I must have filed it accidentally 🙄
Anyhoo, groceries bought and put away. P's brother was in front of me at the checkout. With his wife. They're the couple who recently got married in A&E when it was touch and go whether D would live. He looks well. P didn't look well this morning but I talked and talked about surveys, sewerage, work. And he looked a bit better when he left. Distraction technique 😉
Lunch now. And Impossible.

Posi flyvibes will be winging their way over the muddy river piggers xx
I sent P home with an empty tin. It was a very nice tin. But an empty tin. Gone now. Fer-ling Bit mean really as I know P can't resist anything that might come in useful 😉
I'm going to close the windows upstairs, and close the curtains in my bedroom.

Mega vibes heading your way Piggers xx
Dog tired here, haven't stopped all day and just logging off from paid stuff. Listened to the Archers and having a cuppa by the fire now x8 -
Still alive and kicking here. Tried posting three times last week! I think the hamster, who's wheel powers our internet I'm sure, ate them. So trying again!
I did read along, so have read, and promptly forgotten most of your news.
Busy, busy here. Ten lambs have arrived so far. Sadly one, a very small weak ram lamb, didn't survive. But the rest are all fine and dandy. Nine more still to make an appearance. My hands are a fetching shade of orange. Due to having to spray belly buttons with iodine, the bottle drips. I am tired from having to chase sheep, by torch light, at silly times of the evening/night. I've also been spending lots of time digging, weeding, planting, watering again.
Today's flying. DW once. WM twice, and all line dried. Beds stripped. Towels folded and put away. Tea made and eaten, shepherds pie. Two phone calls with DS-i-L, her OH is in hospital. Two phone calls with DD3, needed new exhaust for her car, and advice about it. Phone call with DD2, more problems with the house they are trying to buy.
Good luck to mr pigpen for tomorrow.
Will try to post more this week, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.9 -
Positive vibes coming your and your DH's way tomorrow piggers.Round, I hope that the survey went well.@ionafan have you tried negotiating a lower price on your appliance insurance - possibly by saying you will cancel if they don't give you a better quote? Our washer/dryer insurance was due to go up from £16 odd to £21 odd, having gone up quite a bit last year too, and I challenged them and they immediately, without any debate, brought it down to £12, which was a £4 odd reduction!A had a phone call with the GP this morning about his eye drops, which he is convinced is causing the area around his eyes to be red and sore. He has stopped taking them but the GP said he should start again, so he has reluctantly decided to do that, but only from tomorrow. His skin rash flared up at the weekend (on his arms, hand and face/neck) but he applied his creams and it seems to have resolved, for now at least. The cause of his foot problem remains a mystery, as the fungal infection test came back negative. The GP would only talk about one thing this morning though so he has to ring back tomorrow for another phone call to discuss that. After his phone call I put the towels on to wash and put out fresh ones and then went for a 3 mile walk, combined with a trip to the shops for a couple of bits. Came back and started the TD'ing and made lunch. Washed up the lunch and breakfast things, set-up a film for A that I had recorded. Did some personal admin, did an online grocery order, made tea, washed up, made supper and am about to wash up again.8

Round, having passed the inspection every year since you've lived there, now that you've found your wings you should sail through it this year!
I have been up since 7.00 and trying to get my head round kitchen appliance insurance: should I just cancel all my policies, as they're all going up in price, or keep those for the built-in appliances going? The FF is about 5yo and already making funny noises and the oven nearer 12yo. I'd rather the cost went into my savings than the insurers' pockets, but I don't want to stop and then find myself replacing the oven within a few weeks. Decisions, decisions...
Flying will commence shortly. Hope everyone has a good week xxx
been a busy day. Ironing pile halved. sis, her eldest daughter and her son went out for lunch with the aged peas. To one of my favourite restaurants. I have pointed out that I could have gone, had I been asked. Good morning all xx
piggers - I've sent personalised positive encouragement into the ether. 🤞
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, taken my meds, completed Connections, failed at Wordle (after getting it in 2 yesterday), and I'm supping a brew.
I will feed the birds and put out the recycling before I trudge off to the paid stuff. Must post Sh's birthday card on my way.
Have a good day
