Morning all
Will be thinking of you and P, Round.
Went swimming with DD last night, didn’t enjoy it as the pool was busy and, therefore, choppy. I had assumed that it would be quiet, given we went at 8pm!
Cleaned the cafe at work yesterday, the cleaner left and i suggested I do it as my hours have been cut. The mop water was grim…. There was a meeting booked for last night so at least they got to come into a clean building. I need to clean the co -work space today or tomorrow. I am being paid for it.
I did have some washing out, think it had a rinse but it was dry enough so that was ironed last night too.

Thinking of you and P, Round xx
Car cleaned out, Firestick set up and first small load on the washing line. Heavy rain due from 1pm so want to get as many outside bits done by then as possible! Also moved planter to the front of the house (needs a repaint), fed the chickens and kids away to school.
Breakfast then paid stuff, well technically I started at 8am oopps.... xx7 -

Thinking of you, round, and sending up prayers and posivibes for P xx
Brrrrr!!! asb! I think we got down to about 1 degree above freezing last night, but minus 5???!!!
It is bright and sunny here this morning, with practically no breeze. DH offered to go out for a walk with me this afternoon, but J the gardener is coming at 2pm, so I've told DH he's got to be ready by 11.00.
So far this morning I have checked finances (waiting for my new energy provider to take the first payment), downloaded a tax certificate from 2023/24, FUPA clean washing, PUPA in the LR, DR and kitchen, cleared the kitchen worktops, and cleaned windows and sticky door surfaces in the utility and back porch.
I need to dig up weeds from the lawn before J mows it, do some more filing, write a proper shopping list for tomorrow and ring a friend from the Toddlers.
Hope everyone has a good day xxx

Round, I've said a prayer for P.ASB, -5! I don't know what it was here at 10 past 6 when you posted that as I was still pushing out zzzzzzz then but it seems cool but not cold here today. It's nice and sunny too - perfect weather for me.This morning after washing and dressing I washed up A's breakfast things and gave him his first lot of eye drops. I then de-cluttered and tidied one shelf of a cupboard (well, it's better than nothing. ) I prepared A's lunch and then walked down to the GP for my shingles vaccination. On the way I called in at the chemist to pick up some cream for him. I bought the paper on the way back and am now about to have my lunch. My geriatric's Oyster card is due for renewal, so yesterday I sent off evidence that I still live in a London borough and my £10 fee and today they confirmed I was good for another 12 months. I don't go on public transport often but it's a handy saving when I do, and it certainly saves me more than the £10 per year cost.

Righty-ho...
I have got all the bills paid, spoken to a financial advisor, nagged Boog for his board .. apparently I was being punished for not paying for the new glasses.. erm.. nope! .. changed the necessary standing orders so they are the right amount on the right date.. Applied for several jobs for OH and thrown a wobbler because he hadn't done one small questionnaire sent regarding 1 application when I am doing dozens.
Squeak has gone to school!!! I will organise some work for her for next week when school will no doubt not send more again..
ooh... apparently I have grandbeasts this afternoon or tomorow.. .. best do some floor finding!food..bill check/May budget.
Round I hope everything went well for P and he gets some good answers .. (((hugs))) ... and I hope all went well at workLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Thank you all 😘 The power of flylady never ceases to amaze me. P managed to get through the procedure with just the local anaesthetic and didn't need the gas and air. Results will come through in two weeks.
And work was fine too. Supervisor has gone off sick. We all pulled together and the day flew by....although I did come home with a stonking headache. Juggling three Services meant I really had to concentrate. Really, really had to concentrate...I'll be getting frown lines next 😊
Anyhoo. I'm home, changed into my scruffs , emptied my lunch bag, completed Wordle and Connections, brought in the emptied recycling box, and I'm enjoying a coffee. Tipping down with rain but I'm not going anywhere so that's not a problem.
4° here this morning according to Vincent. And he gave me a scare by having an orange light on the dashboard....he must have been warning me that it might be icy as, when the temperature rose 1° the light went out. Clever Vincent 😊
What's everyone having for tea? Anything good?

Glad it went well Round and I hope the result is good. Not sure what we're having this evening - there is a Marks quiche in the fridge, some smoked salmon and some cheese and plenty of veg and salad stuff so it will be something from that lot. I'll see what A wants.Had lunch and WUPA. S&S in the kitchen and bathroom. Did more eye drops. Made A a cup of tea and a slice of toast and marmite and I had a cup of coffee and the last of Sunday's birthday cake. I decided to have a glass of water as well and disaster struck. I use a large, heavy, Waterford crystal tumbler for a water glass, that I've had for years. As I was putting it down on the kitchen worktop it slipped out of my hand, fell onto the worktop and smashed. It also hit and broke a tea plate.I was really annoyed as not only will it be expensive to replace, having broken glass all over the worktop was a bit of a nightmare. I put on some rubber gloves and put the large pieces into some newspaper and put that the bin and vacuumed the smaller pieces and then gave it a really good wipe down, twice, with surface wipes. I couldn't see any glass on the floor but I vacuumed it just in case. Hopefully I've got it all.The laundry has just come back so I've put that away.My arm is feeling a bit sore from the vaccination and I now feel really, really tired so an early night is in order I think.7

Hi all
Hope it's good news Round. DS has had a bone marrow biopsy before, it's pretty unpleasant. Fingers crossed.
Set off to work this morning and Papa Don't Preach came on the radio so I thought of you CofG and it made me smile.
Not a bad day at work, technically I have done my hours for the week but there is more to do. I need to book some annual leave.
I have given the kitchen a good clean and put the DW on. It's been pouring down all afternoon, there is a flood warning out locally.
Veggie chilli for tea Round and there is rhubarb crumble for afters.8 -
