Hi all
Soldiering on here, anxiety is not too bad but it's always hovering nearby ready to pounce. The paid stuff is a bit rubbish but I keep telling myself it's just work. I am trying to keep it all in perspective. I am still having issues with my eyes but I think that using the microwave eye mask does help.
I have dusted and hoovered the LR and our bedroom and mopped the kitchen floor. DH stripped our bed and put the sheets on to wash so I have made it up again. There is some soup left for lunch tomorrow so no packed lunch to sort.4 -
I was very tempted to join Round and down tools today, although I had reached the end of my tether by 8.30am. But as I didn’t have her very good excuse, I had to stay and deal with the proverbial that keeps hitting the fan at speed. And breathe, another day in paradise has been done.
Easy dinner this evening - remnants of the batch cook that I did for DD. DH took her back to uni city today, it is quiet without her, even though she was shut away revising for most of the time ☹️. This evening I have stripped her bed, loaded the wm ready for turning on before I leave for work. Kitchen tidied. Plant babies talked to, hopefully in an encouraging way.4 -
Good evening 😊
Back to the paid stuff today. I had the feral siblings that haven't been here for 3 weeks, so I feared the worst! I needn't have worried - they were (mostly) as good as gold! Only one wee accident & 1 incident at toddler group 👍 Actually, the incident wasn't my little one's fault, but resulted in another minder shouting at him and causing a meltdown - I was not happy! He doesn't respond well to being shouted at 😓 I know he can be hard work, but he is actually very sweet & I am quite fond of him.
It was DHs last day of annual leave (actually today was a lieu day), so he stripped our bed & finally put away the 4 large boxes DMiLs stuff that had been on the landing for the last month or so.
The LR & DR are still tidy after yesterday (well, after all the toys were put away and the crumbs swept up). Table has been wiped.
Round I hope the headache has eased
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them.
Night night all x6 -

Just had my second win on Win A Dinner - this time i’ve opted for a gift card.
Back home. tired feet and legs but Liverpool is lovely, well worth a visit. Still lots to see so we may go again.
Case unpacked which is sum total of flying. Spider flung so that’s flying too. DD doesn’t like them. She was fine until she started school…Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening everyone. Thanks for the good wishes about the meal. It went very well and they seemed to have a good time. Yesterday (Monday) I was pretty tired and so just did the minimum. Today I went to the shops for a couple of things, and other than the usual meal prep and washing up I put fresh bedding on and did 3 lots of washing and several of TDing, which I've only just finished.I received 'invitations' for both the covid booster and shingles vaccinations, and A (who has already had the shingles vaccination) has received one for the covid booster . I've booked the shingles one for Thursday but the place we want to have the covid booster (a local chemist) said they don't have the vaccine yet and to check next week, so booking that will have to wait.I haven't been able to read all the posts I've missed but I did see that you had an accident @roundtuit Hope you're feeling a lot better now.6

Morning all
Sending lots of hugs to Round, I hope you’re feeling a bit less sore today lovely xx
Fayolle sorry I missed your post about DDs hospital visit - glad you can breathe again on that front for a while, but I am sorry the paid stuff is so rubbish. Have a hug from me xx
CoG so pleased it went well xx
I was very late going to sleep last night, my mind is far too active with potentially negative thoughts so I don’t feel rested. However, it is a bright beautiful day here which makes a very welcome change and always helps. I’ve chucked another couple of logs on the fire and brought a cuppa back to bed. Usual paid stuff today, will also do a small laundry load and read the electric meter. Toad in the hole for tea, looking forward to that already.
Have fab days all xx6 -
Morning all,
ASB, you have set my day up with that hug 💕. I have 2 minutes to spare to hopped on here, to delay going to dreaded work, and up popped your hug. Thank you x
Round, I hope you are feeling better x Maybe a day of rest is called for….🤫
Wm is on, pack up is packed, DH is still asleep, no other excuse can be found to loiter. Have a lovely day all x4 -
Morning all xx
Much less painful / tender this morning so I've messaged K to say I'll be back at work tomorrow all being well. Going to give it a rest today to be on the safe side....after all I thought I was fit for work yesterday and soon found that I wasn't. And my headset squishes my ear which doesn't help when said ear is feeling ouchie. So hopefully back to normal tomorrow.
I'm up, made my bed, and I'm supping my first brew.
Love to all
