BF is taking his sis to see a craniosacral therapist at 5 so he's away with my car. On his way home he is swinging by to pick me up so that he can take his sis out for a birthday meal (which I'm not invited to) and he wants to have a drink so I'm playing taxi. All this despite the fact that last weekend we said we would go out to the cinema on the Friday when I finished school placement. But obviously it's ok to let me down. I've arranged to go to my sister's later on and he's annoyed at that because he'll have to be home in time for me heading out!

Is he a control freak too?

On top of that, I've just been sitting on the sofa sobbing my heartout for the last twenty minutes. I registered for the Race for Life the other day and all the bumph has come through. I was reading one of the stories in the leaflet and it all sounded so much like when my mum was ill and dying. So that set off the tears and now I feel crap.

I'd really like to curl up in bed and stay there.

    Oh babe! :bighug:

Don't think of the sad times with your mum, try to think of the happy times. The Race for Life is what you're trying to do to help other daughters avoid the sad times with their mums. You should be proud of yourself, and your mum would be proud of you too.

    I could scream!

OH came back at 20 past 6 and I've been at his sister's house since then. While she got ready (talk about rubbing salt into the wound) I fed and looked after her baby. Then her dad came in and asked why I wasn't goiing out with them. I wasted no time in telling him that I hadn't been invited.

Oh, and forgot to say, what had started out as them going for dinner now sounds like it's going to end up at a nightclub. And what sister wants sister gets.

So after an hour and a half of sitting there it was time to go. At that point I just about had time to get home before heading to my sister's house. She then decides that her son probably wouldn't eat what she had made him so she sends my BF to the chip shop to get him something else. BF knew when I was supposed to be going out but went anyway.

Finally it was time for them to go out and I took them to the restaurant. At this point his sister invites me in for a drink. So I'm ok to be taxi and have a drink but no way am I being invited for the full night.

So, now I'm home, feel really crap and know I would be rubbish company so I've cancelled my night at my sister's. I know I would just end up crying (which I'm doing now anyway) and ranting about what an insensitive pig he is. Instead I'll sit here with a glass of wine and the tears rolling but I'll be damned if I'm going to stay sober and go to collect him.

Do I sound like I'm being really self-centred and selfish here?

No. The deal was you picked him up after a meal out. If they want to go nightclubbing, that's their own responsibility to arrange transport.

If you agree something, and they decide to change it, it's not your responsibility to accomodate their changes.

I feel terrible. I just want to goto sleep and not wake up. BF and I split up today. He's moved half his stuff out already. Crazy thing is that we still love each other but we're not doing each other any good. I can't stop crying. I hate this.
