Well walking was actually quicker than driving.. one of the railway barriers was stuck down blocking the road, a bridge was shut 'until further notice' AND the football is had a 7:30 kick off.. so it was pretty much standing traffic.

Despite charging my phone for the morning I have got my 10k steps in and my exercise time..

Girls fed and a lump of pig will be done when OH finishes work.. I also got the lunches done earlier.

I might need an early night, I am exhausted.

    Morning all xx

Hugs to YL - hope you soon get to the bottom of your eyesight being 'off'.

I've stopped looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think there is one. Maybe we are in the same tunnel YL? I do have the wedding to look forward to, but that's still 7 months away so not twinkling yet. One day at a time and concentrating on the day in front of me.

DB doesn't think he'll live to be 64. (He's 63 in August). P has to go for a biopsy to look for scar tissue in his bone marrow. He doesn't want to know why. I Googled the causes of bone marrow scarring. I'm an idiot. I sincerely hope they don't find any scarring that's all I can say 🙏 Pops once promised me that he'd live to be a 100 - so I'm holding him to that....as long as he stays well of course. Que sera, sera.

And I'm really missing L at work. I'll adjust I know but I'm still at the 😢 stage.

Anyhoo I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, completed Wordle and Connections, eaten my breakfast and supped my brew. Yesterday I also paid my rent, posted a birthday card and requested my repeat prescription. So I'm on top of the little things that make up life. I think. Unless I've forgotten to write something down. That's always a possibility 😂

Have a lovely day - predictive text always thinks I want to wish you a lively day....that too if it's what you like ❤

    morning all

vertical half hour in progress, with the correct tablet having been taken.  Today is forecast to be fine so WM x 3.  Frustratingly I see DD has just dropped a work tabard into my wash basket.  That would have gone in with the last load, had it been dropped in last night.  Also DW x 1.

I’m taking Mum to the Down Memory Lane singing session this afternoon.  We will go for lunch first.  I’m hoping to snag some tickets to my very favourite band later…for Sept 2025.  My friend is trying too, we’ll see who gets the best tickets in their basket and go with those.

    Meetings at work tonight.

YL…hope you get the eyes sorted.  Must be frustrating.

    Have good days all.

YL .. have you had bloods checked? Diabetes, thyroid issues, hayfever, blood pressure and other easy things can alter the vision.. I would speak to the GP just in case. the optician cannot tell you it is not a medical issue with the rest of your body, only your eyes. Hopefully the GP can get to the bottom of the issues and it's a simple fix <3 Mine feel like dry crusty pebbles thanks to the tree pollen.. it is no fun <3

Squeak being home educated today.. OH and I are off to the tip.. I need a nap already..
Dot has been growled at for not getting a bath last night.. there is no need to stink and be dirty, we do not live in a box under a bridge!! .. those were my actual words! She is going in the shower the second she gets home tonight and her dinner will wait until she is clean.

I think I have a niggling UTI.. again..

Polly wanted attention at 7 am and stuck her claw in my lip.. so now that is really sore too.

I'm having a very irritated, short tempered kind of day.
