Well walking was actually quicker than driving.. one of the railway barriers was stuck down blocking the road, a bridge was shut 'until further notice' AND the football is had a 7:30 kick off.. so it was pretty much standing traffic.
Despite charging my phone for the morning I have got my 10k steps in and my exercise time..
Girls fed and a lump of pig will be done when OH finishes work.. I also got the lunches done earlier.
I might need an early night, I am exhausted.

Good evening 😊
Paid stuff today, so I took 2 small people & DH to the farm to see the animals. DH is a bit soppy about animals so now has a lot of videos of kids (as in baby goats!) frolicking 😂
Apart from 1 xWM & the dailies, not much else has been done. Oh, and some knitting.
I was about to say I will do better tomorrow, but I have WI & paid stuff, so I doubt it! 😂
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. Night night all6 -
Not much flying done here today - just food prep and washing up. Took A to the bank this morning (it closes later in the year despite always having a long queue at the counter, and the other three banks that were on that stretch of road have already gone so we will have to go further afield when we need to go to a branch. Didn't the taxpayers bail out these banks not so long back? They have a real cheek, and the government does nothing. I do most of my banking online but a lot of people can't or don't. Sorry, rant over.After the bank we went to a local pub for a drink and asked what crisps they had. They said they had run out, even though they get their crisp deliveries on Mondays! We had a bowl of pistachios instead, which were very nice I have to say. Nothing else of note done. Tomorrow morning I have he chiropodist, thank goodness, as my feet are starting to really hurt now.Sleep well everyone.6

Morning
Thanks for the kind words, it just feels like everything is going wrong and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I went to bed at 9pm last night as I just felt shattered. The opticians say my eyes are healthy and my glasses are OK but my vision feels constantly "off". They are also convinced it is not medical or stress/anxiety. I am going to ring them again today.
Lots to do at the paid stuff, I am I undecided whether to WFH this morning or go in, I have to go in later anyway.
Shower and breakfast first.5 -
Morning all
Quick one from me, I overslept hugely due to the winds keeping me awake all night. Need to get DS and his pal to sports club for 9am, then I am working until 12. This afternoon I have to collect more wood from a friend, do something fun with DD, collect DS and his friend, and nip to the shop for berries. xx5 -
Morning all xx
Hugs to YL - hope you soon get to the bottom of your eyesight being 'off'.
I've stopped looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think there is one. Maybe we are in the same tunnel YL? I do have the wedding to look forward to, but that's still 7 months away so not twinkling yet. One day at a time and concentrating on the day in front of me.
DB doesn't think he'll live to be 64. (He's 63 in August). P has to go for a biopsy to look for scar tissue in his bone marrow. He doesn't want to know why. I Googled the causes of bone marrow scarring. I'm an idiot. I sincerely hope they don't find any scarring that's all I can say 🙏 Pops once promised me that he'd live to be a 100 - so I'm holding him to that....as long as he stays well of course. Que sera, sera.
And I'm really missing L at work. I'll adjust I know but I'm still at the 😢 stage.
Anyhoo I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, completed Wordle and Connections, eaten my breakfast and supped my brew. Yesterday I also paid my rent, posted a birthday card and requested my repeat prescription. So I'm on top of the little things that make up life. I think. Unless I've forgotten to write something down. That's always a possibility 😂
Have a lovely day - predictive text always thinks I want to wish you a lively day....that too if it's what you like ❤

vertical half hour in progress, with the correct tablet having been taken. Today is forecast to be fine so WM x 3. Frustratingly I see DD has just dropped a work tabard into my wash basket. That would have gone in with the last load, had it been dropped in last night. Also DW x 1.
I’m taking Mum to the Down Memory Lane singing session this afternoon. We will go for lunch first. I’m hoping to snag some tickets to my very favourite band later…for Sept 2025. My friend is trying too, we’ll see who gets the best tickets in their basket and go with those.
Meetings at work tonight.
YL…hope you get the eyes sorted. Must be frustrating.

Morning all, @roundtuit I'll pass on the lovely day of I may. Yesterday was lovely enough. DW wouldn't run in the morning, a light flashing. After googling, it was the pump thing that sends the water out it said, we pulled it out took it to pieces, no blockage, put it back together and back. Now not working at all! Checked the socket for the plug, that we replaced a couple of weeks ago, not working! So ran an extension cable, DW working fine. Then had to clean the floor and rehouse all the stuff taken from the cupboard.
Went out to the garage to help OH with locating a cable in the minibus he's fixing. Slipped on mud on the concrete, and am now sporting a huge bruise on my hip and slightly smaller one on my elbow.
DS-i-L came in and looked at the plug socket above the faulty one. The faulty one runs off it, S-i-L installed it years ago. The earth wire was loose, that could also explain the fuses blowing every couple of months!
Later when putting the DGC to bed, DGD1 had a bout of diarrhea, more cleaning up!
Off outside in a moment. Then need to tidy up a bit. DD3 is coming tomorrow and her DP coming Saturday. Not met him, in real life, yet. Also got lots of washing to sort and put away.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.5 -
YL .. have you had bloods checked? Diabetes, thyroid issues, hayfever, blood pressure and other easy things can alter the vision.. I would speak to the GP just in case. the optician cannot tell you it is not a medical issue with the rest of your body, only your eyes. Hopefully the GP can get to the bottom of the issues and it's a simple fix
Mine feel like dry crusty pebbles thanks to the tree pollen.. it is no fun
Squeak being home educated today.. OH and I are off to the tip.. I need a nap already..
Dot has been growled at for not getting a bath last night.. there is no need to stink and be dirty, we do not live in a box under a bridge!! .. those were my actual words! She is going in the shower the second she gets home tonight and her dinner will wait until she is clean.
I think I have a niggling UTI.. again..
Polly wanted attention at 7 am and stuck her claw in my lip.. so now that is really sore too.
I'm having a very irritated, short tempered kind of day.

Back again
Hope you are all well and the sun is peaking out where you are.
Things have deteriorated a lot here in terms of tidyness, and if I'm honest my mental health, as I get steadily more anxious about going back to work at the end of the month.I've spent a lot of time these last couple of weeks doing 'nothing' aka just watching TV and reading internet forums. Yesterday I spent the day tidying my office and getting rid of a lot of stuff that I don't need - there's still a lot in here that I don't need but it's much more manageable and tidy now. I felt so much better yesterday evening. So today I am booked onto a swim (my favourite exercise behind my beloved running - but at £6.50 a pop I only go on very rare occasions, I also tend to get lane rage...) and I am going to do an hour of tidying before I go. Get the music on and blast it out.
My list for the hour is as follows -
* Hoover living room
* Empty and reload dishwasher
* Wipe down kitchen counters
* Tidy bedroom floor
* Hoover upstairs
* 2 loads of washing (will have to be one before and one after the swim)
Our bathroom is apparently starting on Tuesday next week, I don't trust that they will actually do it then but it does mean that in theory today and tomorrow are my last 'just me' days of maternity. So trying not to be extra mopey.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January7
