Iona.. Dot has lost her school shoes, Pixie has misplaced her dance tights, I have 7 loads of washing in my room to put away.. I can't do that while OH is working.. Squeak hasn't done her maths HW (But she will be reminded not to leave it until last minute very soon!!.. I am a firm believer in doing HW the day you get it) I need a nap, I would love a good nights sleep! It is a lot trying to reind my house, watch small boys and be thrown back into the chaos of school runs and early mornings.
DS2 has taken Pixie to dance class... he and Moomin are interracting.. that is an incredibly rare event.. the only thing they have in common is their parents and dyslexia!
And now Meem has turned up

Thanks for the list. DGD2 went home just after six so I'm in front of the telly for the night. While she had a nap I scrubbed kitchen sink.Spend less now, work less later.5

i pegged out some washing and ironed it.
I am feeling weary, but buoyed up by delicious coffee and walnut cake plus the walnuts from DDs slice, she doesn’t like nuts.

Food shop done & put away. Cat litter tray cleaned & refilled. Food bin emptied - I have run out of food waste bags, and the spares I have are minuscule! I have requested some more on the council app.
This evening I have done some knitting of grand baby's blanket
Night night all5 -
Washing and TDng finished - a few things finishing on the airer. Supper made and pots WUPA. A's breakfast things set up and 2 of 3 eye night time eye meds given - last one in a minute.Despite the whole place smelling of moth repellent (I bought a battery of draw liners, hangers, traps etc.) I saw two moths nonchalantly resting on the sitting room and hall walls.
I bought a lovely woollen overcoat in the post-Christmas sales and I don't want it to be eaten, so tomorrow I'm going to vacuum it (just in case) and put it in a zip bag in the wardrobe until next autumn/winter, with some (hopefully effective) moth repellent.

- one load through DW, put away
- one load washing done, hung out, put away
- zumba x 2 done
- posted SIL card/present at 2nd attempt; first time the usual man in the C00p who deals with the PO said the post staff were late? Went in after zumba and there he was again, training a newbie. I asked if the letter was ok for a normal 1st class stamp (it had SIL card, DB and SIL anniversary card plus a garden token for her birthday all crammed into a biggish envelope). Newbie looked at it and said "fine". I wondered aloud if it needed to be weighed or measured, but seems not......I hope SIL doesn't get charged.
- went to the library
- sent e birthday card to step sis in Canada
- did a bit more of a report
- did some stuff in the greenhouse.
- downloaded training plan sent by the BHF (who also rang me to see how it was going) to prepare for the swim in June. Will have to see how it fits into life.... Having done a ParkRun on or near my birthday for the last 5yrs, I think I sadly have to admit defeat this year as it has been so wet I haven't run since December, plus we will be down at BIL this weekend and the nearest ParkRun is a playing field and gardens so will likely be very muddy. Gaining a slipping injury prior to the big swim does not sound a good plan; that's my excuse anyway. Do you still run GI?
- downloaded another referral form from uni; yet another who is awaiting assessment for autism but has decided to be assessed for dyslexia first. Why is my life so complicated?
No further word from the council about my bus pass but have another admin incompetence to investigate tomorrow; had an email from the gym to say my standing order hadn't gone through and it might be their error. No "might" about it - they did this last month and I had to pay by card.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Morning all
feel rested so that’s good. DW x 1. Not running the WM as fine weather isn’t forecast until Friday and I refuse to run the TD.
Priority today is to look at car insurance, reminder emails went into junk so I missed them, I am outside the timeframe for optimum price but it’s not actually urgent. I’ll probably crack on with more admin too. I’ve also got some CS stuff to bag up and stick in the car.
Have taken the correct tablet this morning so just doing my vertical half hour.
Will report back with progress, should there be any, otherwise i will just witter on.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all xx
Surprise visit from DB yesterday evening- wanting to pick my brain re care provision following hospital discharge. (His NN was found laid in the garden on Sunday - the wind blew him over and he couldn't get back up. FOUR hours later a neighbour's teenage son heard 'something' and went to investigate.)
I'd forgotten how it felt to seriously dread going to work! I remember now 🤢. And I'm told that the colleague who hounded out my pal, L, has decided she's having Annual Leave this week (her first week in L's job!!!). 🤷♀️. So we'll be two down this week. As long as they're not relying on a Minimum Wage minion (me) to save the day / week !!!!
Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed, got dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm supping my brew.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off.
Reasons to be cheerful:
Heavy rain last night has cleared 95% of the bird poop off Vin
I didn't pay to go through the car wash yesterday- seriously considered doing so on my way to Mr Al but chickened out.
I only have one day working with the energy vampire this week. Today.
I know how the land lies at work so I'm not walking in blind. Forewarned and all that. 😉
I'm alive! I have a roof over my head, clothes to wear, food in the cupboard, clean water in the tap, a family, and friends.
I am blessed 🙂
Right. That should get me to work. It'll be sheer willpower for the rest of the day 🥴
Hope you all have a lovely day. Please, please, send me posivibes whenever you are able. I'm convinced they work.

Morning all. It's raining again. Hope you're all doing well today.
Today I only have to go out for dog walk and to exercise class in next village but my friend is giving me a lift to that.
I'm another who's going to get horrible admin tasks out of the way first today.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7
