Good morning 😁
I'm sorry I have been AWOL for a month or so. I have been keeping on top of dailies, and we have had a few projects ongoing.
I am only working 2 days this week, and DH is off. The plan for today & tomorrow is project DR - finish stripping the wallpaper, finish putting up lining paper & painting the walls (I should probably do the woodwork too!) DS has a fish tank 🙄 I wish I had never agreed to it tbh. Well, after weeks of asking he has temporarily rehoused his fish and emptied the tank so we can reach that corner. DH is getting on with that now 👍 It will involve lots of furniture moving & juggling of toy boxes!
Jobs for today also include:
Allotment - fill a trug with weeds, and bring it back (along with yesterday's trug) to put in the green waste bin
Meal plan & food shop
WM x1
Empty DW
Cut the grass in the garden
WI accounts - update, and do annual financial report for members at Thursday's meeting
Knitting.......did I mention that DD2 is expecting her 1st baby in September? 😊
I haven't caught up on the thread, so hugs, sticks & spoons to all those that need them
I will update later with progress
Have a good day all x

I have a Mr and Mrs Blackbird foraging in the back garden. At the front sparrows are helping themselves to the pampas 'fluff'. And two blue tits have just had a squabble over my bird box. I hope the winner returns. Ah. Yes. Mr and Mrs Blue Tit are in the box. Ooops and other Mr Blue Tit is back. Better than telly this 🤣

The sofa is moved to the backroom.. and the drawers moved up and the trifid placed on top.. 1 of the small tables in next to it in the hallway and the other is still in here but moved to cover the mirror which is in the fireplace.I have got the DW on but it will need another run.I ate an apple..had a cuppa..Lionel wants a cup of tea.. good excuse for another!
I vacuumed the back room and hallway as I was moving stuff.
I now have 3 pairs of curtains on the stairs which need cleaning.. I have a box of exam certificates and other documents on the bed and a kitchen table covered in photographs and 40 year old cards..I shall redo the DW, load the WM's and get that out on the line.Oh heck.. I have an ercol sideboard in the garden needing renovating and putting somewhere dry
OH has an interview tomorrow at 10:30..I should have stayed home yesterday and got all of this done.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)5 -

P and S have been. S fell asleep on my sofa! P said it was stress and then gave me a precis of his illness starting from November, complete with dying fish impression. I already know it off by heart. So I gave him a blow by blow account of my week. Well, fair's fair, innit? I'm not heartless but when he said how ill he felt with a Hb count of 99 I pointed out that I was holding down a full time job when they discovered mine was 79. I am so glad we didn't marry - he'd be under the patio! I know self care doesn't mean being selfish but maybe it does mean pushing back and not taking on everyone else's angst. Or maybe I am heartless....it's all been used up. Does that make me a zombie? Noooo - too much walking involved in being a zombie!
I've been to Mr Al. Done my shopping and put everything away. WM is swishing as I now have wash pods.
Next step in my knitting is picking up stitches from a vertical edge to knit the button band. Eh? Thank goodness for Google. At least I now have half an idea what to do.
I need food. Not eaten yet today - just realised!

99?... bless.. I was raising children, doing school runs and shopping and doing everything by myself at 51.. does he want a sticker?? haha I think it was 74 in March.. you just get on don't you.. so dramatic! I'm so used to it I don't have symptoms which is fortunate, I've been anaemic since I was first tested at 3. I think we should all complain about our weeks to him.. that'll show him! ... but NOW I want a 99 with a flake!!
I have a much nicer front room and hallway.. I am slowly digging it out..
OH has a break shortly so he can make a cuppa and watch the boys for 2 minutes while I get the WM's on
DD2 and GF are heading over to manchester tomorrow for a few days so I shall have a little time to dig out some bits I want from in their room.. to give them more space and find some bits I want.
I may as well do some knitting for a bit while these 2 play nicely.

Grass cut, lunch had. Hair is tamed and scruffs have been swapped for jeans without holes & muddy knees 😂 List made and I am ready to hit the supermarket - as soon as DD2 has woken up as she is coming with me.
DH is wallpapering 👍6 -
Afternoon all. This morning I cleaned the kitchen and bleached the sink and washing-up pad, emptied the bin and took a bag of rubbish down. I then went out and took a jacket with one very loose and one slightly loose button, and a shirt with a broken button, to a place that does repairs and alterations to have the buttons re-attached/replaced. I then went to a food shop to see if they had something for the birthday cake I'm making for Sunday and bought a few other bits. I went to the mid day service and then came home and prepared lunch.I took delivery of a new small kitchen grinder as I want to try making walnut marzipan (part of my cunning plan for the birthday cake) and you can't buy ground walnuts as far as I'm aware. I thought I had a grinder already but couldn't find it when I looked. After lunch we went to a local park and they had an art exhibition on, which was nice, and an amazing bed of tulips. On the way back I took A to see a road that has lots of lovely mature white flowering cherry trees all the way down, which are in full bloom and look fantastic. When we got back I made tea/coffee and am now about to wash up and put on a load of washing.4

I'm glad the muffins aren't going to waste.
I finally got home just an hour ago. I had an excellent night's sleep and a good breakfast, D-Sis-i-L was very pleased to see me, and the train home, though crowded, was on time and I got a seat. I am now considering whether I feel fit enough to go to the Old Wives' meeting tonight - probably not, in which case I will throw a couple of loads in the WM and polish my halo.
