Car washing is moneysaving! My car is 7 years old, pristine condition because it's washed and polished every 3 or 4 weeks. Have had someone offer to buy it for £5250 which isn't bad given that it cost £8K 3 and a half years ago and has had 52K miles to the clock. I'm sure it's excellent condition is the reason it's held it's value so well.A car may be a depreciating asset, but you can try and minimise the depreciation a little.
Only thing is, now I want a new car and that ain't moneysaving!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

18 degrees is supposed to be the optimum temperature - it's what's recommended to have babies rooms set at. However, I feel too cold wit anything less than 20!

I must have a hot little bot, because my heating is off and my thermometer says 15C and it's just slightly cool for me.

Although I agree that car parking can be very expensive, moneysavers should be good neighbours too - please don't park on residential streets to go into town! When we lived in the town centre, we often couldn't park on our own street because of all the non-permit holders taking up spaces. It used to make me so mad, I wanted to follow them home and park in their driveways. Remember - town-centre dwellers are people too!
Rant over.
I have been cutting my own hair this year, it's curly, so very forgiving. The trick is to grab a small section, and then snip into the ends. I've done it twice, which has saved me £60. I'm more concerned about the shiny greys to be honest, but I'm pregnant which is a good excuse for not shelling out on dye.

No doubt I will be making another trip into Boots - last time it wasn't MSE friendly. I forgot to go the the Ad card machine, and possibly lost out on a voucher!
I think that I might re-cycle the cards from this year, for next years tags.Debts at the start of my journey - about £23,000 lightbulb moment 01.03.2007 (1st payment to CCCS)..Debt Free Date 25.06.2013 Deposit savings £17,000/£30,0000 -
WM goes on when low rate electric starts at night - I used to put a load on when I was off to bed so it was ready for the morning
TD goes on before low rate electric stops in morning - I thought I was the only one to do this. We lived in a flat, on econ 7 plan, so TD went on at 5 - 6 am
Central Heating is on lowest comfortable setting - what's heating?, me and my husband used to sit in front of the telly with a track suit on with a jumper, and a quilt
