A Subject Access Request. It used to be recommended in the newbies thread at Letter Before Claim stage but looks like it isn't now.
Either way, Excel will need to show the P&D transactions in court to prove you didn't pay.
Don't worry, listen to these guys and read the NEWBIES thread back to front a couple of times and you'll be fine.3 -

We used to recommend a SAR early in the process but since claimants have been claiming with sparse POC we suggest not to do it until after defence is filed, as the data/info from SAR will be more useful at witness statement stage.3

That's good to know. In my case i sent the SAR shortly after receiving the LBC as was the advice back then.
The judge did agree that Excel's POC was scant. Similar to the OP it did state the alleged breach but the who/wheres were woefully vague. It wasn't enough on its own.
The fact that I'd submitted a SAR and Excel had failed to fully comply seemed to be more interesting to her.
I guess district judges can vary somewhat.4 -
Sorry might seem a silly question but who provides the SAR?JoeN1988 said:That's good to know. In my case i sent the SAR shortly after receiving the LBC as was the advice back then.

You request it from the Claimant: Excel
They have 30 days to provide it.
Please note that I am a first timer, so wait until the regulars advise you to send one.
Excel's email address for litigation can be found on their website. When/if the time comes and it is helpful i can provide that email address and a copy of my SAR email to adapt.
Meanwhile have a read of this thread to see how they beat Excel/Elms (and got their costs awarded):

You can also find my journey by clicking on my username and following the link to "my first court defence".
If a tree surgeon who hasn't touched a computer since he dropped out of school almost 20 years ago can beat them, you should have nothing to worry about!

The SAR isn't a thing, it is a chance to see what letters/data etc they hold and to see what they haven't previously sent but claim they have. You submit the SAR (Subject Access Request) to the PPC. They should then supply (within 30 days) all the data about you that they or their agents and sub-contractors hold.jedugirl said:Sorry might seem a silly question but who provides the SAR?2
