This morning I am grateful for the people from my running group who dragged me out of bed for a 7am 10 k run walk. And for ds1 who made me a lovely lunch. Doesn't get much better than that.
Edit:
Just did the cupboard tidy of the decade - so will be giving about 5 suites and 10-15 shirts to the local children's society - tried to give them to a prom charity without success, so the charity shop will be a double bonus - they will make money on the sale and some young men will get a cheap basically unworn suit! Bish bash bosh. Maybe tonight I will do my side - of the closet - always worse.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Well done Ditty on your run! Keep the inspiration coming Beanie
Grateful this morning for the +net engineer who went above and beyond to sort dad's line out. They only really cover the external lines but he sorted out the fault which was internal and coped well with dad who was a bit put out by changes to routine and the movement of things. I have been in the little loft in the eaves (thank goodness I emptied it last year when there was a boiler leak), in cupboards, behind stacks of books locating all the extension sockets.
Have used the occasion to get rid of a plastic sack full of broken or not matching tupperware and ice-cream boxes etc, a dozen jam jars without lids, and hopefully a few things from dad's stacks of things. I don't think he fully understands that if he can't find it when it's needed it's not useful after all. I reached an impass on the getting rid of old incomplete fixings from the taps before the taps he has now in the bathroom but will take the wins of 2 bags of stuff leaving the house! Have located 6 extension leads so have put them out for him to look at as hopefully he will agree I now don't need to buy one for the flat but could instead use one of these!

Afternoon turtles. A quiet night last night, fell asleep on the sofa and missed most of what we were watching. Good night's sleep had though.
This morning I took the opportunity of my enforced downtime to use our carpet cleaner to clean some pee stains that bunny left while he was recovering from his operation. Am hoping one go will be enough but need to wait for it to dry. Have also washed the towels and one load of clothes.
I got dropped at the gym as I thought there's still a fair bit I can do even with a dodgy ankle, had a good workout, and now just chilling at home. They charged me a cancellation fee for missing a class when I had to go to A&E, I was sure I'd cancelled it, anyway the card machine wouldn't work when I tried to pay it so she cancelled the fee anyway!
I have a couple of other small jobs to do this afternoon. Wind is picking up so not sure if we're in for bad weather, have kept the washing inside just in case.10 -
NSD No 5 yesterday. Helps when you can't get near the shops.
Between Himself and me washing done and bedding changed but we honestly need a bit of help with all of this. Himself has never had to do any of this and he's not good at it although he tries. Don't really know what to do about it. I think I might have to make a gentle plan. Baby steps. Trouble is what he thinks is tidy and clean just isn't.
Really, really windy here now but no rain so I guess that's a plus. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -

NSD # 3I didn't sleep well after 2 days at work, so am extremely unmotivated today!I did go with OH to walk the dog, and he always wants to go further if we are both there, so at least got a bit of exercise. DD2 turned up with little GS soon after, and they stayed for lunch. Didn't fancy doing much at all after that - but I did water the seedlings, put the nematode stuff on the strawberry plants and plant out some shallots. After that, well, I was wishing that OH and I were people that ordered takeaways, or went out to eat
But as we almost never do either (for some reason) I made a frittata and OH cut some salad. It was nice, and I am glad I made the effort, even though it seemed an enormous chore
Now the dishwasher is on, and I have handwashed the odd things that don't like the dishwasher / wouldn't fit in (we only have room for a slimline one, and have some dishes / cutlery that aren't dishwasher friendly), looking forward to rhubarb crumble for puddingGrateful for seeing DD and little GS, for knowing how to make fairly healthy, fairly quick food even if I didn't feel like it, and rhubarb crumble!10 -
Today I am grateful for a lie in, for Pip doing maths revision with dh, for bumping into an old friend when pip went bouldering, for the weather being much warmer than it looked, for a good book.

Torrential rain all morning. Headed into town with DS1, he went off to do his own thing, I took mum shopping. We nipped in a CS, it had LOTS of knitting/crochet magazines & wool this week. I was quite restrained & only bought 2 magazines, a book for DH & a t-shirt for DS1.
The wind had increased by the time we got home, but the rain was drying up. After dinner, I pegged the washing out on the line, put the shopping away, then got my sewing machine out. Spent the rest of the afternoon & start of the evening assembling the other 3 memory bears. They just need stuffing & hand stitching now. Watched some TV with DS1, then did some if my jigsaw.
Grateful for funny bits on G0ggleb0x, spotting a couple of things in the CS, & not going mad in the CS & buying lots, hearing from my auntie in America who's coming to visit in the summeeUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
