NSD#2
Had an extra hour in bed, after staying up late last night to welcome DS1 home. Practiced Norwegian, but didn't do yoga today, as it was later in the day. Very cold & windy. After dropping sewing off, me & DH went on a very breezy walk. We didn't take any water, as no toilets nearby, but took rations (sweets) instead!
Tackled the soldier's jacket this afternoon. Took me a couple of hours before & another couple after tea to get it done. Pleased it's all finished now.
Messaged a friend who's op has been postponed next Monday. She's quite upset after psyching herself up for it. I told her they won't keep her waiting long, due to needing to act quickly, & encouraged her to instead think of it as extra days she can get things done at home beforehand, or go for a cuppa.
Finally stopped sewing at 9.30, so did my jigsaw for a little while. I AM NOT GOING TO SPEND MY WHOLE TIME OFF DOING SEWING FOR OTHER PEOPLE!!! There, it's in writing now! I've planned to have next week off from sewing, so if I get a tiny sewing job done tomorrow, & cut out the 4 memory bears, once they're assembled, the last job can wait a week.
Grateful for returning to the car, out of the wind after our walk, beautiful scenery, speaking to mum on the phoneUse it up, wear it out

NSD No 3. Taxis to and from hospital are expensive but al least I don't lose a NSD because they are a medical necessity. Appointment took up most of the day so I didn't really achieve very much. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10

Today is not an NSD day, as I treated myself and OH to a fancy coffee after my blood test. It went very well, I didn't need to be apprehensive at all, this lady was really skilled and reassuring, I was in and out of the practice in 8 minutes, and I did wait about 3 minutes before she called me! Very pleased.
Since it already was a spend day, I ordered a couple of household things to replenish cleaning stock and a new natural treats and chews bag for the dog. We just called the vet because she's been limping on and off for a few days, it seemed gone now, but today it has come back so maybe it's actually a sprain and not a strained muscle, so she has now an appointment to be seen by the vet this afternoon. Luckily I pay monthly, so it shouldn't add up, but if she needs a prescription that might need an extra payment, but I'm ok with it to be done today.
Had a satisfying meeting just now with manager and colleague, I had an idea on how to engage the wider audience in the department on the software that my team manage, and I am really excited it will become a proper project, all mine! I need to write a pitch email to our VP, so fingers crossed that he likes the idea and then I can go wild in planning! I really needed something exciting at work, as the last few months have been very stressful and dull at the same time.
Plan for the rest of the day: write the pitch email and then finish to prepare a report for a meeting I have early next week, as I've taken the day off tomorrow. My friend is coming for the weekend and we are all very excited! I've already prepared the bed for her, and planned the day out (we are going to London for the day, and hopefully eat at our favourite restaurant, Dishoom) so it will be a spend day again. After work tonight I will finish tidying up and do a quick clean of the bathroom, kitchen and hoovering, thanks to the bit of Spring cleaning from last week I don't have to stress about it!
Today I have lots to be grateful for:- grateful for past me doing Spring cleaning before Easter
- grateful for the fantastic nurse who took my blood very swiftly
- grateful for my friend coming to visit me tomorrow
- grateful for having found a bit of sparkle again in my working duties

NSD#2 for me todayWorked all day, so no chance to spend. I took my lunch with me (a little plastic box of crackers, cheese and grapes).Tired after work, and my day out yesterday, so won't be up late, especially as I am working again tomorrow.Got a load of washing partially dry on the line outside, as it was windy - intermittent rain, but at least it dried a bit! It is now on the airer by the fire to finish off.We haven't lit the fire for a couple of evenings, but it is colder today, and I was chilly after work, so I am grateful for it this evening.Omelettes for dinner tonight, as we have loads of eggs. Quick and easy! And there is rhubarb crumble for later10

Hi turtles
Day started well with some yoga, my coffee machine has packed up but I managed to make a relatively decent substitute. I worked from home today, went for a walk at lunchtime too. Then it all went a bit downhill, I went to take the bins out after lunch and fell down the stairs, cue a trip to a&e and a diagnosis of two torn ligaments in my ankle. I've done that before in the same ankle so I know what to expect pain wise and have to laugh at my own clumsiness! I was booked for spin class tonight and was trying to come up with reasons not to go so at least now I have a legitimate excuse!12
