Quiet day (very sleepy). Downstairs early to wait for one prescription item and then did filling the bins. The next to the end house is still empty so using their bin to get rid of broken items that have been hanging around for a while - next up is a broken 50 l bin (still has some soil in but have identified an empty container that can take most of it). Have also decided to let the two heavy wool blankets go. They're very snuggley but extremely heavy. they fall off the bed all the time (sometimes several times in one night) and lifting them back onto the bed isn't doing my back any good. I'll never be able to get them downstairs and over the line for cleaning and the time spent dealing with them could be put to better use. So thanking them and letting go.
Grateful for books, series, films, easy food and the couch and bed.13 -
The chaise longue is there to be appreciated and used by those who need it. Toni'sfriend, LCC, grandmanerd, toname a few.Today I am grateful for Pip having a good art day at school, for sorting out my bank card, for getting my new specs and being able to see better (and not just because they're clean 🤣), for plenty of walking and avoiding the rain, for Pip enjoying a new youth group this evening g.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!12

I had a photo to share with you, but couldn't upload any! Tried updating the app, but still no joy! So, the photo was of a sign spotted on the door of s chicken coop yesterday. It said:
Chickens
The only pet that poops breakfast!
😂 It made me laugh anyway!
Had a good day today. Still really tired when I was woken by the (heavy) cat coming to lie on my stomach/chest. She's started doing this most mornings now, funny, as she's not a lap cat!
Practiced Norwegian, then did some yoga. After breakfast I dropped DS3 in the village in order for him to catch a bus to his GF'S. Once home, I went for a walk with DH. A friend of DS1's came over, that I've not seen in months, so it was lovely to see her
After dinner I cut out 4 of my smallest sized memory bears, then visited a friend. She gave me a surprise present of a pretty tin with a sewing machine in top, with a lovely teatowel featuring bees & wild flowers inside 😍 As she is moving house next week, I could rummage through a pile of things she's going to donate. Found 3 beautiful embroidered table cloths, some bags for presents, Easter bunting (fabric bunnies, etc) & a pretty handbag. We had a good catch up, then peered through the windows of her new house.
Finally got round to putting money in my sinking funds, collected DS3 from his bus, then did 10 mins of my jigsaw, before it was my turn for the bath.
Grateful for catch ups with friends, surprise presents, excitement over new houses & hugs with DS1's friendUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Right so today I am happy to say that I have decided to support ds2 with a small weekly cash amount for food, while he completes his 3. year at uni. It is more of a bribe or acknowledgement that he needs to eat, I just really want him to get it over with in a good way.
And I am grateful for tickets to recording of Kitchen Cabinet fairly locally and a weekend where I can go and do what I want. Yay.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Ah that sounds like a lovely day Thrifty!
I am posting too late at night and forgetting to actually post the comments, so apologies! I was likely rambling anyway.
Sending love to all. As I read your post @Toni'sfriend I was hoping you are getting what you are due in terms of Attendance Allowance - not that you need to reply here of course! The Macmillan team supporting us had some central office that helped with submission of forms for AA and as I understand it it is a non means tested gateway benefit that can unlock other help. I"m actually just about to start an application process for my dad which is why it was on my mind.
I have three processes to navigate this month: probate for my mum's estate, scholarship financial aid application for DD, and the AA submission for dad. Daunting but determined not to have them hang over me any longer.
Work has been hectic but is steadying now. Just trying to balance how much emotional energy I invest in the sagas and hold some boundaries around my time.
I have birthdays for 🇺🇦 and for my dad and DN to sort out in next few days for mid to late this month. Have been playing with ideas all of which are experiences rather than things.
Had friends staying in the flat this week and it was lovely to share it with them. We got a few more jobs towards setting the flat up for rental done, taking some furniture apart for storage.Annoyingly the drain pipe has come apart again so trying to resolve that with the developer as the management company is yet to be set up.
Have had council tax banding through and it is where I expected it to be. Back pay for this will wipe out the rest of my overtime payment from last month but at least not add to my debt! Now got to sort TV licence out and do a water meter reading and bill and then I think we are all set up for the year ahead. .

So far I am grateful for having applied to a small job that would be a lovely supplement to something else, to a full time job that is kind of between a dream job and a right night mare, and a long shot - but now I have applied.
Bring on a gallery visit this afternoon and a run or walk this afternoon.
Happy Friday.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Yesterday was NSD No 4
We've been without TV and internet all day as someone demolished an electricity box with their car at 3.15 this morning. At least we still had power. Quite a lot of the area was without for most of the day.
Starlight - I hadn't even looked at claiming any kind of benefit. I didn't think I would qualify as most of my mobility type problems should be temporary (albeit quite a long time temporary) hopefully. But, thank you. I will look into it. Just back from Health Centre getting my dressings seen to. I can't see the wounds, etc but nurses keep on telling me there's an awful lot there and recovery just from that is going to take a while.
I actually managed to shower and wash my hair all by myself today. Feeling quite proud of myself but I do look a mess.
Anyway, a few wee plans for the weekend to move things forward. xxxx

I think you would be eligible for either ADP ( as you are in Scotland) or AA. I think you should be able to claim. If you need any help just PM. Evening turtles, weekend is finally here!
I have spent all day working on the chaise longue strictly following the RICE procedure for my ankle! Although have been trying to get up and move when I can.
Was meant to be on call tonight but sacked it off as there's no way I can drive into work in the unlikely event I'm needed.
I was very naughty and ordered takeaway for lunch. A real rarity but I just couldn't face cooking and I'm not beating myself up over it under the circumstances. I'll be right again in a few days so it's not the end of the world.
Off to have a nice hot bath now. Happy weekend turtles.13
