Hi @Bargainhunter30 ☺️ we can all spur each other on!
I've got a registry office booked for DP and I in May ☺️ so I'd really like to get a stone off before then! I've weighed in this morning and lost 1lb! Not much but I will take it. I should really say it is 3lb, because I put 2lb on over Christmas and am now 1lb less than my pre-christmas weight. That sounds like more so I'll take it 😂.

Day off work today so I'm having a nice tofu, pasta, salad throw together in a mo then I'll give it an hour or so and go to the gym. I've recovered ok from the other day, so I'll attempt to jog again.
I'm thinking about getting a watch with an ECG monitor on it. Does anyone here have one? They're expensive and I'm not sure it's going to be accurate enough to warrant that investment.

Fasting seems to be working better this time round, perhaps because I am eating better in the eating window..I'm having two good meals and some snacks (they're not always the best 🙈) without fasting I am a grazer from the minute I get up to the moment I go to bed. So this limits how much food I can actually consume which is why I'm doing it. I'll stick to it unless I don't see any real results in a few weeks then I might move to SW as quite a few go from work so I'd have someone to go with.

I have a G@rmin Venu 3s, it's an older model (Venu 4 is the new one) and it's hands down the best piece of tech I own. It does have the ECG monitor, it also monitors my HRV which I've found more useful for me than ECG, but I guess it depends on the lifestyle and what you want out of your smart watch. This is not "medically proven" but my watch knows I will be ill circa 2-3 days before, so I know I have to top up on vitamins intake and get more sleep. Sleep monitoring, stress levels, and HRV is why I got it in the first place, and it was worth the money. Love the long battery life too. I've been using G@rmin watches for maybe a decade now, so shout if you've got any questions, you can do some research or read up on R3ddit, some stories are really fascinating.

Oooh, perfect timing @RedLipstick!! :) My ancient fitbit is old and tired, its App is very glitchy and my employers currently have a perks deal for 40% off all Garmin kit .... However, I am a bit confused ... the garmin website says that the battery life on the cheapest most basic fitness watch-type tracker is '1 year' - but is that it?? Does it then die and you have to get a new watch or can you recharge it. I suspect this is a very dumb question but I can't get my head around the details on their website ...

    What is HRV?
And what model would you go for of their fitness trackers - I'm not a great sportsperson, nor do I intend to be. ;) I use my FitBit for steps, mileage and periodic heart rate check-ins. Is it worth me going for something more than the basic spec or will the basic model do for me?

I have an old Garmin Vivoactive 4S that was my partners first. He likes to kill the batteries after a year or two, but I managed to revive this one and it works fine for me. I'm not sure what he does to them, I had similar issues with iPhones, they always died after 18 months. I like the Garmin but don't use most of the features.

Oo thanks @RedLipstick @bargainhunter30 I was actually looking at the g8rmin ones ...I want the ECG monitor on one so will look for the one you have. I'm not a sports woman really but am trying to get a bit fitter and have weird heart palpitations and pain when exercising too hard (too hard equals very slow jog 😑) so just want to check heart before I push myself through this. @KajiKita 40% deals are amazing! I will see if I can find any deals too before purchasing.

I've been to the gym and did a slow jog again. 23 mins of walk, jog, and 1.5miles. We had lunch before we went which was nice and DP managed to take an hour out of his day to join me in the gym. Also did sauna for a bit but I think the gym have done a bit of a recruitment drive and it was pretty busy everywhere.

Edited to add I can get a discount on the venu 3s but it's still £343.99 😱 I'll think about it.... 🤔🙈

I have g4rmin - and previously had F1tbit then fruity watch.  I have a vivo which is basically a watch that counts your steps, compact and unobtrusive. I also have an all singing all dancing one that tracks everything. Well, it would if I used it properly. I swap between the two depending on what I am doing. It is worth keeping an eye on the deals websites as there are regular offers, especially if you don't need/want the latest one.

I went for a F1tbit it was half the price of a g@rmin and I managed to stack some cashback so got 10% back via TCB and TCB vouchers. It was the cheapest way I could find to do it so I ended up buying it on c^rrys as it worked out cheaper than going through the BL discount and the f1tbit website. What a palava.
