Yes that's where I got it from. :D I wanted it last December/January but was holding out for the 75% off. Needless to say there was none left so this year I quickly went to Boots on Boxing day.

    Hi Sans
Same thing happened to me last year, missed all the goodies I wanted waiting for them to drop:o Not this year though, decided 50% was good enough discount and bagged everything online that i wanted for birthday pressies etc.:D it arrived this morning:D
May still try and find some brgains at 75% off but at least i haven't been disappointed with the stuff I really wanted.

My cuz and I buy each other a huge bag of little pressies each year. I have picked up quite afew things in the sales for that and have bought some Christmas cards from WH Smith. Will continue to pick up stocking fillers through the year but don't buy the main pressies until nearer the time.

So far this year, I have bought my Xmas cards for Xmas 2008 (4 boxes of 20 cards each for £1 - reduced in Rosebys). I've also got 3 rolls of posh wrapping paper (6 metres x 3 for £1).
I have also started my gift box for presents through out the year, and have got the following.
Gardening mug, with ceramic lid and mini tool from Superdrug - 99p (maybe for Grandad on B/day or Father's Day).
Went online on Xmas day and bought load of general gifts sets for family and friends from Boots - for B/days and Xmas 2008 ( if any left over!)
Getting 12 year old bottle of malt whiskey from my mum, as present for FIL for B/day (she won this at a raffle but does not drink).
When I worked put gifts bought for family and friends through out 2007 (not includung my son or husband), I had spent £180, but gifts were worth about £500 rrp. I was quite pleased with saving. I end up going halves with DH at the end of the year on gifts bought through year.

In M&S today and picked up some christmas cards, I like nativity ones, £2 for 30 cards. I also bought a light up perspex snowflake reduced to £3. I have a friend who loves snowflakes and we always exchange small gifts I know she will love it. There was some lovely childrens christmas clothing and my daughter bought her sons christmas pj's for next year, he's only 2, should have been 2 pair pack but there was only 1 pair so she got them for £2.25. She also got christmas bibs for a niece/nephew due in the spring. I also bought a gorgeous babygro for £2, just in case 1 of the 2 grandchildren due is a girl if not then I have tons of friends at church having babies so someone will benefit from it.

  • Been to B&Q today, all their Christmas bits extremely reduced (obviously). Bought some pretty matt white glass baubles @ 30p each which I intend to hand decorate for a friend who is having twins next year, and for my own two littlies, and one spare in case I muck up lol. Also bought some pretty poly-resin hand painted robin baubles @ 30p each which will go nicely in any hamper type sets I do. Lastly I got a christmas train ornament, about 15cm in length with a picture frame in each carriage reduced to £2 from £10 which will be one of my mum's presents with a pic of both sets of grandchildren in.

I was very organised back in 2005 when I had a Christmas baby due and was totally done and wrapped by December. It felt very good but its gradually slipped each year since, so 2008 is the year I claw back some organisation and money. Well actually I'm very good at not going over my budget, so being less ready has meant being able to buy less for people rather than spending more, and I want to be able to give more to people.

Ive bought 3 presents from Next Sale, Hot wayer bottles in real soft black & brown fur, elegant with couple bottles of something, from £10 -£5.
I was hoping to buy the furry hot water bottle in Argos for my dd, and put relaxing bath stuff and nice pjs with it, but it was out of stock. Will try Next, hopefully I'll be lucky, really don't want to spend too much, budgeting €20 total. Is your pressie for a male or female, if female, candles etc could work out cheaper than wine?
I love this forum, all my family think I'm mad, thinking about next xmas before this xmas had happened!!
