Looked at all the 'stuff' I'd hoarded in the spare room and thought I'd got everybody sorted..............then remembered, grandchildren, twins (the teenage ones) have birthday as well as christmas...........thinking I need more for them and getting a bit stuck on grandson...........he'll be 16.....what can I find in a charity shop that'll suit him ? Not a great deal so far so think I'll have to 'create' something(s)Mary

Mary - what are his interests? You could make up a Stash [aka "basket"] for him.If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!

I had a look through my lists this morning, and I'm almost there

All I have to do is buy some perishables nearer the time for mugs etc, get one child present (also having problems with ideas for their birthday - any ideas for a 10 year old girl with a teenage sister?), and get the main present for each of my three boys - should be over in an hour online once they make their minds up

DdraigGoch - I'm doing baskets for everyone this year but shoe boxes for the males in the family so need to fill two for grandson.
He's into computers and all that stuff but whenever I ask him what he wants he always tells me he's got everything.........and he has. Lives with his Mum and step-dad and both him and his sister have just about everything money can buy. I've given them both money i thepast but this year I thought I'd give them stuff to unwrap........some 'fun' bits and some sensible. I can only think of toiletries, silly socks, and stuff like that but I was so determined that I was going to do everything 're-cycled'.............getting unwanted gifts and stuff from the charity shops........save myself a quid or several. Managed ok with grandaughter........anything 'girlie' and she's happy. It's just grandson I;m stuck on so any ideas of what I can put in a shoe box ??

I've finished our Christmas shopping now apart from perishables, a few mugs- 19p each ASDA, and a couple of picture frames. I am going to make dh a DVD hamper thingy with popcorn, dvd rental vouchers (from ipoints) and snacks etc I think. I may put it all in a DVD rack so he's got some storage. He LOVES his DVDs so that'd be good for him. I've got him a 'designer' keyring from the Deb. sale already which is wrapped and hidden. He is easy to buy for because he loves everything! He most wants bopit from debenhams! So annoying. His b-day is 3rd Jan. so I might see if I can get that for him in the sales!
Apart from that Christmas s finished for this year so i'm collecting presents for birthdays as and when I see them. I think that everyone this year will be getting much better presents than usual because so much thought has gone into it! And the quality of gifts bought in the sale is far superior to anything we could normally afford!
