I have just put all the Christmas decorations away and have put a few presents for next year up in the loft too!

I've started my list so I know what I've got and I will go through all my sale purchases and the 'present cupboard' and start planning birthday pressies and Christmas from those. Gave over 70 people Christmas presnts this year, but not planning to do as many for 2008!!

I'm just home from Marks and Spencers, where for half the original cost of the most expensive item, I bought:

    4m wrapping paper
    pack of cards
little purse with hand cream in it
    body cream
    set of five bath smellies
    large bottle of bath oil
    sake cups and flask set
    set of bath fizzes
shootout game (was €30 reduced to €9, and was the only one with the little pull tab that makes it make noises still in place)

I love Christmas, although I suspect this is false economy as I'll feel compelled to buy more stuff in the run up to Christmas!

    Three gifts left to buy
  • I have got quite a few bits now. All my wrap and cards and tags. Also a 6ft tree with decorations and lights from sainsburys reduced from £50 to £5.
Also got 2 tins with vodka in, and 3 craft sets half price, 2 cross stich and one watercolour painting.
I wasn't much inspired in Boots. I might be more inspired when it gets a bit cheaper. Though the 2 boots near me don't seem to have much left.
I hadn't thought of looking Argos. I will do that now. Thanks fror the heads up.

hiya, bought a fair whack in Argos today, got 5 bellissimma products (the manicure set is esp impressive) and a spa waffle bag set all for just under £15!!!! Really happy as they will make up the biggest part of my dd and sis xmas presents. Last year, (it feels weird referring to it as last year), I spent €90 on playboy sets for dd and approx €70 on my sis. This year, even with the extra bits I have to buy, I reckon I can get both done for €35, verrrrrry happy:T

I used my catalogue commission from previous sale items to purchase some bits from the sale leaflet.. and I took advantage of the Argos sale too.. and Next.. and Lakeland..

I aim to have everything bought by the end of September so I can get it all wrapped and stacked by November.. no mean feat by any means in this house.

I have my children to buy for.. hubby, 2 sisters, 2 OH's, my mother and stpedad.. and anyone else who turns up in the mean time.

have spent even more!!!!! Went to local chemist today and got another couple of spa sets that I will take out of packaging for my sis basket (€2.49, approx £1.66:D ). Just need the dressing gown and slippers and she's done, absolutely brilliant:T . Have also reserved some more bellisima products for dd in Argos (£3.98, approx €5.50), so she's almost done now too!! I know I am just spending at the minute, but it would be criminal not to when I can get the presents finished at such a reasonable price. Thinking of going back and buying some extra spa sets to pack into small baskets for my friends, we normally agree to spend €5 - 10 on each other, but this way, reckon I could cut them down to €3 - 5 each tops. Does that sound extremely tight?:o
