You need 2 active direct debits 60 days after switch completion start date. If they are set up as and moved over from the account you switch in or set up after is not relevant. If you already have 2 set up as it is an existing account you should be fine.What_time_is_it said:If I am switching from a non-Santander account into an existing Edge account, do I need to have 2 active debits in the non-Santander account too? Or just in the the existing Edge account?2 -
I have the edge saving account already that I’ve recently opened. Would I be able to open the everyday account and switch in from another bank for the switch offer? Thanks0

Yes. I've just done it. Their first response to my application was "we'll have to check with our underwriters", but they didn't ask anything further and just opened the everyday account12Charlen80 said:I have the edge saving account already that I’ve recently opened. Topcashback gives £25 cashback so you could make £210 in total out of this offer.danny13579 said:

You lot are amazing! Thanks for always answering my questions. Will it be ok to set up the DD on the new account (planning on opening tonight) or set them up first on the old account? Thanks

Yep - either is OK. I would just set them up on the new account.12Charlen80 said:You lot are amazing! Thanks for always answering my questions. Will it be ok to set up the DD on the new account (planning on opening tonight) or set them up first on the old account? Thanks

Even though I've been on this forum for quite some time, I've no idea what Top cashback is .pecunianonolet said:

I've just had a look at it, and still not sure I understand it! Though it does seem to involve buying something, so probably rules me out 😄0
