Thank you kaz.
An update on my progress so far (especially for Cloth_of_Gold (BTW, is your Liberty scarf a burnished yellow colour, by any chance?). If it's gone, it's done.
- send some emails and cards; make some phonecalls [some done already]
- finish filing
- use a Christmas gift voucher to book seats for a concert
- hoover all through (Rosie has started her spring moult)
- walk Rosie
- J the gardener is coming at 2.00 and will need to be paid
- put mealworms (also a Christmas present) out for the birds. I need to find a way to exclude the pigeons...
- check out the possibility of switching my energy provider for cheaper rates.
All the shopping has been put away, we've had lunch, and the dietician rang DH 3 hours early. I'll hoover quickly whilst waiting for J to arrive, then take Rosie for her walk. Then I'll probably have a few zzz to rebuild my energy levels before finishing off most, if not all, of the rest of the list.

No flying so far today. Went to playgroup with ds and then came back home and we did some moving around stuff in the garden- a large wooden planter I made has been emptied and moved to the opposite corner of the garden. Need to get some paint and some soil and some lavender plants for that bit of the project next 🙂. Had a trip to the tip to get rid of an old rusty wheelbarrow (workman left it here 9 years ago and I have been trying since to get rid of it...) had to move all the seats forward in the car and it fitted (wouldn't fit in any other cars) and it has gone 🥳. Will try to fly tonight 🙂

@ionafan thank you for the update! As my Liberty scarf is mythical it can be any colour we want it to be. Anywy, I've just checked and it's an unusual colour: mythical burnished yellow - what luck!@Dfw38 it sounds as if you've done flying to me. Decluttering a wheelbarrow sounds like major flying!Me waving at @Asparklierblonde rushing by:Well, we got to the hospital a few minutes before A's appointment only to be told that there was no appointment! The person on reception just expected us to turn around and leave but having brought a near 80 year old wheelchair user with multiple health problems all the way there I felt we deserved better than that and politely, but firmly, said so. A nurse came over and spoke to us and to cut a long story short after much investigation it turned out that the appointment isn't until 4th April, although that is not what we were told yesterday, which she accepted. None of the doctors was willing to fit us in so we just had to go home. Evidently this sort of things happens a lot; it shouldn't.We arrived home 3 hours after having left and have just had tea and hot cross bun (A) and coffee and simnel cake (me). Needless to say, this is my excuse for not having done any flying this afternoon.8

COG around here we get texts from the doctors and hospital a couple of days before reminding you of time and date, is there a similar service you can sign up to via your doctors, it might be worth asking at reception. At least that way you would know when they are expecting you.Decluttered zzzz's, cats were curled up with me, and they are still asleep. It is now raining.Kitchen wiped over.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Yes we get those (although they can be hit and miss), and we are also signed up to an NHS service called Patients Know Best, which allows you to view appointments, test results etc. A didn't receive a text about today's appointment but it was showing on Patients Know Best. The nurse gave us the phone number of the clinic so that we can phone up in the morning on the new appointment day to make sure A is on the list for that day, just to be absolutely certain, as it has already been cancelled once before, albeit that on that occasion they rang us a few hours before to let us know.

Valli thats good news on the meds, must be so nice not to have the tummy problems any more.
And Round, go girl, don't you take no nonsense from no-one 😁 x
CofG we have been though something similar with an appointment, it's not good enough. You have also reminded me that I need to nag DS to get a blood test.
Well, I haven't really been enjoying work for a while but today a customer came in to tell me how amazing I am and what a credit I am to the business. Shame he didn't tell it to the bosses, but it was still very nice. Then a member of the team who I have been having some issues with agreed to sit down with me next week and come up with a plan to sort things out, admitting he needs my help.
And DH has finally arrived had another payment from DWP. So I am celebrating with a small glass of wine.
Is it weekend yet?8 -
I know Piggers, it’s rubbish. All the fault of he who must not be named. I may have a solution but my brain is just too puddled to compute anything tonight.Life has just been crazy this week. Sleep is no more than 4 hours per night, I know I will crash soon. For tonight I’m having wine too YL, and ignoring the world. Sleep well all x
PS The liberty scarf is purple and green in my head! I’m so sorry for that carry on today CoG, what an unacceptable pain xx7 -

One mythical scarf is burnished yellow and the other purple and green.Thank you, It was annoying but you have to keep these things in perspective, don't you?I hope that things get easier for you soon. I'm sorry that I'm not nearer and could give you a hand with something, although I'm not sure that I'd be much good at animal husbandry, but I'd be willing to give it a go!@YORKSHIRELASS that was clearly a very discerning customer. We all know you're fab (and I'm sure your bosses do too) - you just need to believe it yourself!
