Dk Kids First Cook Book has a delicious Speedy Pizza recipe.
Pinch of salt
40g of butter or marg
2-4 tablespoons of milk
150g of self raising flour
50g of grated cheese.
Put flour and butter into mixing bowl.
Rub butter into flour until it resembles bread crumbs.
Add grated cheese and milk and mix everything together until you have a smooth ball of dough.
Roll dough into 2 10cm (4 in) round bases.
Add toppings and cook at Gas Mark 7/220 C/425 F for about 15-20 minutes.

I cheat & make up a batch of pizza dough in my breadmaker! If its any help here's the recipe I use
1/2 teaspoon yeast
300g strong white flour
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
170ml of water
It takes about 45mins to mix up & makes 2 massive (they just about fit on those round metal pizza baking trays with holes in them iykwim!) thin crust bases..0 -
the receipe i use is
10 oz flour
1 oz lard
1 sachet yeast (7g)
pinch of salt
6 fl of hot water.
rub lard into flour till resembles breadcrumbs, add the yeast and salt and mix, add the water and knead. leave to rise for about half an hour or so until doubled in size. makes 2 very large 14" pizzas. cook for between 10 to 20 mins on 200degrees c.
also able to freeze the dough. i put it in once it has risen and then freeze it, take it out, defrost it and knead it again once defrosted and leave to breath for a bit.Debt free 3 years early :j

Hi nettles,
To make a thin dough I just halve the recipe in my morphy richards instruction booklet and roll it out thinly.
There are lots of pizza base recipes on this earlier thread that should help so I've added your post to it to keep the suggestions together.

This isn't a yeast dough, but I usually do it if I'm in a hurry, and it works out fine. I don't know amounts, I just shake and see how it goes, so it depends on how much you usually cook. It's S/R flour, salt and pepper (sometimes mixed herbs too, the bind with half olive oil, half water. Makes a sort of deep crust dough. Thriftlady is usually good with "Cup" recipes, maybe she'll be along soon, or you could try a search?
