update
went visiting tonight - the ICU was full to the brim again with patients- Rick looked lovely and peaceful asleep in his bed. he's sedated on a different sedation that should be better for bringing him round easier. he looked a lovely colour and well presented. the nurse was lovely too she had his bed moving by some sort of exercise thingymagig.
she said he was comfortable and he looked so comfortable too.
the gp at my work said he would be in for a few months - maybe even 6 months or more so to be prepared - the nurse at the hospital also stated that he had a long way to go and would probably be in for a few months - they explain it as if we would mind - but we dont - as long as he's alive and doing well that's all that matters.Give blood - its free0 -
good to hear he is doing well, it's not supprising that it will take so long - given what he has been through. just good to know he is being well looked after so well and has the support of such a wonderfull family no matter how long it takes.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

First time i have seen this and have read it all the way through now.
Very best thoughts and wishes for Rick's recovery and look after yourself too xx0 -
dont worry i'm all right i had a good nights sleep last night went to work this am - had an easy day today just booking appointments as my colleagues wiped my diary - tomorrow off to starbucks for the morning to run a PND clinic for new mums (its really good fun and we have a fab time), and afternoon fairly easy too as i am running a behaviour clinic for toddlers at the library. so an easy day for me
my boss discussed offering me a sub-contract for my personal business (which aims to reduce PND) which starts next week and i'm up in the finals for a business plan award i found out today, which would mean i would have a few thousand if i win (its like a dragons den competition).
its my daughters birthday tomorrow - so that will be exciting for her and us. the childminder is throwing her a party (although her party with us is Friday).Give blood - its free0 -
Although there is a way to go I am pleased to here how he is doing. Thankyou for keeping us up to date .
