Ha, thanks greying 🥰 we're an hour ahead but I'm sure they'll magically find a way through somehow!3

Best of luck. I gave one of my best presentations when I was probably still drunk… threw up just after I came off stage! Make sure you have plenty of water and try not to cough as that may make the lump worse. Fizzy water is less harsh on sore throats.3

Hope it went well, Cheery and you have been able to enjoy the rest of the day as well. Hopefully the sickness and discomfort during the night were temporary and not the sign of anything bigger.Live the good life where you have been planted.

Thank you all, what a weird old day!
Missed the first session (and playing with the translation machine). My presentation went well, I think, it was quite a small room and there were about 15 people standing at the back who didn't have chairs so I think that's a good sign! Asked my friend who was presenting in the same session to take over chairing for me so I didn't have to think much, so that was good (it barely needed chairing anyway though).
Then I headed back to the hotel, via a shop for some plain bread and cheese etc.
Didnt go to bed straight away, the cleaners were in the corridor and while I wouldn't normally bother, I'd been so hot and bothered last night that I figured a freshen up would be nice. They were obviously doing a very thorough job though and it took forever to get to me! Finally got into bed around 3.30 (after gently doing a bit of work) and thought I might sleep a couple of hours then wander to the cocktail reception, but I just woke at 8.15 🙄
Going to get up and have something small to eat and maybe pack before going back to bed. What a waste of a day!!

Oh no Cheery. I hope you feel better very soon. I have never found anywhere other than the UK uses boiling water to make tea so it never tastes right abroad. I have tried to educate various establishments but they think we are mad.
