Definitely an up-vote for a third brew on a poor sleep day...actually, on pretty much any day, if I'm honest!
The patio looks absolutely fantastic - well done you! It just looks like such a nice little sun-trappy area to sit and read, or doze, or just think...!
PB's - £100 max win for me too, although some may remember that we actually won that on the tiny amount remaining after our big withdrawal for the house deposit, and then went on to win a further £100 a few months later...nothing at all since though, so things are balancing out! (And prior to that the most we'd had was a few £25 wins!) Actually, that reminds me that when I went to try to add some money to the PBs the other week I discovered that the bank transfer details had gone so I'll need to set that up again at some stage.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I appear to have some bragging rights. I have won £500 twice, last Oct & Nov. However I do have an awful lot of PBs & am just about keeping up with the overall normal bank interest rates. The best thing is no tax due. But as I plan to live to 100 that money has to last a very long time

Just £100 win for me (this month). I once won £1000 from the local Council lottery (in the days before the National Lottery) which was a fortune back then. I was engaged at the time so the money came in very handy. I even had my photo taken by the local rag, trying to get a photo of me holding the ticket jumping off the steps where I worked. Alas, my feet didn’t get off the ground and they had to settle for a headshot of me!! My aunt once won a year’s supply of Cadbury’s chocolate - a huge box which she distributed amongst family members - very nice!8

Ooh, a year's supply of cho olate is a fantastic prize! 😃
Nationwide shares have arrived - both of us paid into the joint account 😊 Along with the bank switching and the 1Poll payout, that makes £595 in extra dosh in June 😱8 -

Damn…from someone who is just contemplating her Friday off! Of course, this will be to do with the fact that you have an actual grown up career, whereas I just have a job! (And that suits me perfectly, so all good!)
Good news on the N/W payment - I’ve just reminded MrEH to check for his!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ha, grown up career indeed 😂 It's my own fault for taking on too damn much, as usual 🙄😂
Still, we are getting there. I forced myself to sleep til about 9.30 - counterintuitive but we didn't get home til 1am yesterday and today is NOT a day to be tired. It sounded ridiculous but was actually the best idea - I am rocketing through stuff this morning.
Colleagues have given feedback on the stuff I sent yesterday and drafted their own sections. I'm ignoring those until these other less complicated sections are done - then I'll send all these and tackle the ones they've commented on. Hoping by that point I'll have a good overview of the whole thing.
Still planning to submit today, althoughI actually it may not technically be within the working day...
Thankfully this type of Friday encroachment is quite rare for me. But I am owed one from a few weeks ago, this one, I'm at events on two Fridays in July so at some point I'll need to take a whole week off 😱 Or several 3 day weeks through July, more likely... There's no formal TOIL system, just 'work whatever you need to get the work done' 🙄 but having been flexible in one direction the majority of the time, I do like to be flexible in the other direction in the summer in particular (and they don't even pay me to work full time, so...)
Right, got more tea, best get back to it.13 -
YAWN.
We are getting there, slowly. Realised an hour ago that rather than submitting as a Word document, we actually needed to submit as an online form. Rookie error, and I should have known better... but the funder had sent us the form, so...
Not a problem - except you can't submit the form if any of your sections are even ONE WORD over the word limit 🙄 Yawn.
Oh, and one of the sections is the same length as the paper form, but has slightly different instructions, requiring rather a rejig and some extra writing, as well as considerably more editing. 🙄 Should have realised earlier, and perhaps would have done if I hadn't also been finishing a different project this week too.
Hey ho. Just putting an emergency pizza in the oven then will battle on...11 -
