Indeed. I've met briefly with my boss now, who fortunately is lovely, and was VERY supportive. He was angry at this person, said their email was inappropriate, unprofessional, and grossly unfair. Also said he wasn't surprised given previous dealings with this person 🙄 Said if it was him, he'd email back asking for their exact problem with me and why they hadn't raised it before - I'm not going to do that, would rather get head down and get the actual thing done, but there will still need to be conversations about the thing I was asking about in the first place 🙄
Still, it feels good to know boss is supportive and this issue likely goes way beyond this particular incident. 🙄
Still, it has derailed me somewhat today, and it meant I completely forgot about a deadline to express an interest in something, which is what I'm now trying to get done 🙄7 -

I have started a semi formal complaint process today about an individual who is a misogynistic bully and when his boss was advised of the behaviour just told me I was ‘resilient enough to cope with it’ … 🙄
The bully has then jumped all over someone else, also female, in this manager’s team so enough is enough.
Sending hugs Cheery. It’s draining to have to deal with something like this.

Sorry to hear you've had to deal with a horrible individual cheery and everyone else for that matter! Shame we can't put all these individuals in a company together so they can just send snotty emails back and forth to each other until their hearts content and leave the rest of us to just get on! xMortgage Balance as of Jan 25 £23,500
Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000.
Aiming to be mortgage free by my 40th birthday, June 2026!8 -

This person is in fact a woman, not a man, and I am going to endeavour not to think about the situation, at least for the rest of the evening. Mr Cheery has run me a bath, and then I will be heading to bed with an improving book 😊8 -

Thank you all xxx
Yes, a better day here today. An meeting with that person (and several other people) passed uneventfully which gives me hope that we will get the project finished in one piece, regardless of what we think of each other.
Otherwise, a productive day. I've been good at recognising when I needed a break today, and took a walk to another building, and stopped for a chat with a colleague. Have also eaten well and drunk plenty of water - I'm really trying to keep myself well and not overwhelmed, and I think it's working.
Holiday things i need to remember:
* check the car insurance!!
* ring to arrange key collection
* ring friend to see if any last minute instructions
* ring other friend who we might be staying with on Friday night14 -
Evening MSE chums (well, it's the middle of the night now! 😱)
So, I've got progressively less stressed about the work situation as the week has gone on. My boss has been utterly lovely about it - he's completely taken a lead from me in terms of what I want to be done about it all. I had my performance review today and he encouraged me to try for the next round of promotions 😂
Got a bit of work to still finish off tomorrow sadly but it'll get done.
In terms of holiday, we are nearly there! Still need to check the car insurance tomorrow but I think everything else is sorted out. Oh, need to ring to arrange key collection on Monday.
We're going out for breakfast tomorrow - will take library books back and take boots back to be mended properly this time.
Other than that, washing and packing! Best go to sleep at any rate..11
