Very satisfying! Didn't even open my book - had a small snack then fell asleep for over an hour ๐ฎ๐๐ Definitely needed it!

Haha - sleep has been the name of the game for me too this weekend! - who knew I'd be wiped by socializing?!
4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)Original End Date - Sept 2041 New projection - Sep 2038 (reduced by 3 years)3 -
Clearly even that wasn't enough - I didn't set an alarm last night and only just woke up naturally after being flat out for 9 hours ๐ฎ good job in working at home! (Although obviously I would have set an alarm if I wasn't!)
I'vegot a few things I want to get done today - mostly after work but a couple I can do throughout the day.
- Washing
- Make soup
- Make something else wholesome and get at least one portion in the freezer
- Banking and spreadsheets
- Put clothes away upstairs
- Get the IPL machine out
Also want a day of focused work with no distractions! Let's see how that all pans out ๐ฌ

Ha, well it's actually been a surprisingly productive day despite a rocky start...
Didn't wake til 9, didn't get out of bed til 10, and after messing about with yoga and getting ready, didn't actually start work til 11 ๐ฌ No matter, because I had nobody to meet and nowhere else to be. Tackled a few dragons that I'd been fretting about over the weekend, and made progress on some longer term tasks too. Finally stopped about 8.30, so more than made up for my slow start.
Made soup about 4pm and stuck it in the hay box - ate at 8.30 and it was nicely cooked and plenty warm enough. A nice mix of ends-of-veg from the fridge - leek, rubbery mushrooms, the ends of a couple of bags of salad, half a box of passata, plus some garlic, red lentils, and a couple of stock cubes. Most delicious. I've saved some for Mr C, and stuck some in the freezer too.
Also did a half hour cleaning podcast. Done this a couple of times over the last few days and it's really starting to make a difference now even after such a short time. Going to keep persisting. Today I did the washing up, put some washing on, hoovered kitchen, study, and offshot, and put away a load of clothes upstairs, including a load of Mr C's jackets that have been on the spare bed for weeks.
NoT focusing on any particular room, just putting the podcast on and pottering about. This is probably all stuff that you lot do quite naturally but I often end up NOT doing, especially when we're both here. Trying to get into some new habits.
Speaking of which, I accidentally did the same yoga session twice this month, mixing my days up. Feeling a sense of incompleteness, so I'm about to do an extra 18 minute session now before the final one of the monthly calendar tomorrow ๐ 120 days of yoga every single morning now! ๐๐
Then I'll set to with the banking. Might not finish before Mr C gets home but at least I'll have made a start.

I'm not a natural at house work I keep up with the laundry and the dishwasher easily, any washing up I would happily avoid, have lots of reminders so I don't forget to do mundane things like clean the dehumidifier filter, empty the shower trap, clean the dishwasher.....
I am trying to set a new habit of getting up 30-45 minutes earlier, day 1 I didn't achieve my goal but I was 20 minutes early than usual so progress has been made.

Thanks Baileys_Babe - hopefully, fingers crossed, we may not use the dehu again for a while. I need to give it a 'putting away' clean, including the filter. I'm going to do it now after reading your nudge. Thank you.

Thankyou from me too - I don't think I realised mine even had a filter! I've certainly never cleaned it! Not putting its away - house is just generally damp so it usually stays out on rotation somewhere ๐ฌ

Update: hoovering of filters and dehu done. And you have further prompted me to think that if I don't use the dehu again (soon), it will get dusty. So I wondered what I could cover the 'top' vent with, I was thinking cardboard could be knocked off, and then I hit upon the idea of an old pillowcase! Fits like a dream! Won't stop every single atom, but it's far easier to wash a pillowcase than get a hurricane force sucky vaccum anywhere near where the dust would settle.
Thanks for the 'borrow' of your thread Cheery and again, thank you Baileys_Babe for the prompt.

Whoops! Owned dehu for over 8 years now & didn't know there was a filter. Fixing the satnav comes first though cos I need it on Friday. Does anyone know what SDS means as it is cutting out the radio & not talking to me.

I'm probably talking through my hat, but I thought the SDS card was what you used to install and subsequently update your satnav?
Hopefully someone MUCH more knowledgeable will come along and tell you what it actually means.
