@Greying_Pilgrim - at least you have a tin of chopped tomoatoes! - we made stew a couple of weeks ago and had to improvise with fresh tomatoes and the last of a tube of tomato paste when I discovered I'd not replaced the tin from the last time we used it up! We do however have two tins of brown lentils - I can't remember the last time we made anything with these as an ingredient! As to this month's grocery budget - well the less said about that the better!🤪🤪🤪4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Ha you lot! I'd never win a prize for MSE-ness myself, as you well know - just look at my cafe budget! 😱😱😱
I've had periods of not tracking in the past, but I am quite a fritterer (small things, but they add up) and while we do have disposable income at the minute, it's not never-ending and I'd like more of a savings stash to feel a bit more secure. I will keep you informed!
@KajiKita it's a historical market in an exciting building that I've not been in yet 😁 Mr C reckons it'll just sell olives and fudge like any other market😂😂 will report back...7 -

I track our 'worth' - so do end of month balances of all savings accounts, PBs, my s&s isa and our 2 vanguard pensions - but most of our pension funds are old DBs or current/ most recent schemes, so I don't include those.
@Greying_Pilgrim- I do have about 6 tins of tomatoes - but only because we found 2 packs of posh branded ones reduced to the same price as cheap ones as each pack was missing a tin. I now feel like I don't want to waste premium canned tomatoes in anything like chilli, though, so they aren't getting used!! 🤣😂I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -

you lot
Another free coffee today (just from collecting loyalty stamps), and I was impressed with the firm. My app voucher wouldn't scan, they tried several times but eventually we gave up and I used a different one instead. When I got home I'd had an email from the company saying 'we see you had trouble redeeming a voucher with us, we're sorry' and explained that the voucher had already been used, but hadn't gone from the app, with an explanation of why and what I could do to make it disappear. Helpful, I thought, as I wouldn't have bothered going to customer services to sort it out.
The event wasn't quite what I expected (although I hadn't really known quite what to expect) - it was a historical market, with stalls selling items for historical re-enactment and suchlike. Lots of beautiful fabric to make dresses from, jewellery, and someone was sewing leather belts and wallets etc. Mr C very nearly bought a bowler hatbut decided against it in the end
So no money was spent there.
Had an email to say my Vinted parcel has finally arrived in the lockers. I ordered it on 12th September so it's taken a while (but the postage was free, and the seller did post it within 2 days so I can't really complain). Annoyingly we drove past the lockers this afternoon, but it wasn't there then. I have to collect before Tuesday, which is rather vexing as I hadn't planned to be back that way again for a few days, but never mind.
Lazy one again today. I'm mostly spending the afternoon drinking tea and playing my flute on and off.
We are awaiting news about a potential situation with Mr C Snr so poor Mr C is not remotely relaxed, but there's nothing we can do from here really except wait and cross our fingers that all is well. Should find out in a couple of hours.8
