Oh what a disappointing experince! Definately one for the review sites - I know I really value reviews when going to somewhere I've not been to previously.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! Thanks all. I never usually leave reviews for anywhere but I might on this occasion - especially as this place had done an excellent veggie roast in the past and its the main reason we went there... New owners a couple of months ago so maybe still getting heads round things.5

Opened the V1nt3d parcel i picked up yesterday. It's a pair of black M&S jeggings - I bought them because they were exactly the same as a yellow pair I found in a charity shop recently that fit perfectly and that I LOVE.
Sadly, they're not the same as the ones in the picture! They're the same brand, size, and colour, but these ones have a button and zip - which the ones in the picture definitely do NOT (the label in the main picture is different too).
Dithered about whether to send back (buyer pays return postage on Vinted which is outrageous when not as described), but then decided I wouldn't have bought these ones if I'd known. Fortunately there's a free postage offer on at the minute so postage is free in both directions (I might have just sold them on myself if the seller hadn't offered to pay postage). What a palaver!6 -
Good grief - buyer has to pay if seller has sent incorrect item? That's ridiculous - is it even legal? Definately sending back!
I contacted the big river site via their chat feature on the weekend to complain (and return) a pair of earbuds that stopped working less than a year after purchase - it was the easiest no-nonsense interaction i've ever had with them! - RM will be picking up my package on Tuesday & refund will be processed pretty much as soon as they scan it. I was pleasently shocked - don't think I'll ever be asking for a call back via the site only to talk to an overseas call centre - much easier to communicate via writing.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! To be fair the seller was very quick to respond and offer a refund and I've not had to pay postage in the end. Thankful that I listened to my intuition (for once) and Mark it as received when I picked it up - I very nearly did, without even opening it!)
Glad you had a good experience with an online refund @rtandon27- it wouldn't even have occurred to me to send them back after that long. I learn so much from you lot!!4 -
Recently we too returned an item to the big river site, once it was scanned by the drop off point our refund was instantly processed.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Good to hear your positive experiences!
Evening 😊 I have the house to myself for a few hours, so you all know what that means... an overambitious LIST! 😃😃😂😂
So...
5.45-6.30 WORK
* finish off
* plan for rest of week
* pack bag for tomorrow
6.30-7.45 FOOD
* batch cooking in the oven
* get some soup in the hay box
* tea tonight and breakfast & lunch for tomorrow
* clean up kitchen
7.45-8.15 TIDY
* put washing away
* quick hoover downstairs (living room doesn't need it but the study definitely does)
8.15-9.15 FLUTE
* trying to get in an hour several times a week, lots to practice
9.15 SOFA
* find a nice programme (some kind of period drama maybe?) and FINISH MY BLANKET! 😃😃
I've already contacted my sister to see if she's free for our monthly planning session - if she says yes that will likely be 1.5 hours, so I'll lose the tidying and some batch cooking probably.
Ready, steady, GO!8 -
Oops, forgot to come back in! I did in fact do most of those things, and talked to my sister. Didnt hoover, but I've done that rthis evening, and didn't make soup, but I did everything else.
Including finishing the blanket! 😃
It needs a bit of a press round the edge, but all the ends are nicely darned in and it looks great 😊 I'm delighted with it - it was my birthday present to myself back in April so it's given me almost 6 months of entertainment 😂
Mr C decided to stay out at a friend's house after his evening out, so I had a bad night's sleep - I always do when I'm here on my own. Largely because I put something on the TV to avoid listening out for noises, then leave it playing on a loop and it keeps waking me up all night. Also I stayed up too late, drank too much, and spotted a massive spider running across the floor while I was lying in bed, none of which helped 😂😂
Fortunately he's home now 😂😂
Didn't do any more Prolific studies - I can see several AI ones in there but I'd need to plug the laptop into the monitor and sit at the desk and I can't be bothered right now, so I've cashed out £44.78 - still a pretty good total!
Big car had MOT - I was holding my breath... but all they had to do was replace a few bulbs, so it cost £60 😂😂 Headlight will need replacing at some point, but it's now been through 2 successful MOTs as it is so I suspect the car might disintegrate before we get round to it. No mention of the crack in the windscreen (it's not big, it's right in the corner, and I did already repair it with resin so it's clearly not deemed a risk).
Pleased with that! This car cost £200 to have the wheelbearings done last week - if it hadn't broken down that would likely have been done at MOT, and I would considered myself lucky to get away with a £260 MOT on an 18 year old car so all told, not too bad.
Right, bath and bed I think. Yawn!9 -
That blanket is gorgeous 🤩❤️👏 Well done 😊
And good news on the MOT 😊
