That's enough for today, I think. A decent night's sleep is in order. Mr Cheery just told me he's spend the whole day in his dressing gown (I don't blame him after the last couple of days) but is planning on getting dressed for when I get home, what an honour 😂Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Pleased the chat went well, and well done for reminding her that she had asked to meet you, too! Good that she's interested to request your CV as well - and of course it may well be that she doesn't still have the previous one you sent, too.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

😂😂😂 you lot! Sad to report the dressing gown is still firmly in place so Mr Cheery is neither dressed nor undressed, and my honour is still intact 😂8

Remembered a little local event tonight that I wanted to go to. It's a monthly local history talk and I've not been for AGES, and I always enjoy them. Mr C usually enjoys them too, but doesn't always come with me, and has decided not to tonight.
So another £4 from personal spends 😬 that does include tea and cake though so a veritable bargain!

🤭😂
Well I had a LOVELY time. The talk was actually really interesting (they're usually interesting but occasionally rather amateur - part of their charm, but this one did actually have a structure and no lame jokes 😂). Learned some useful things too. And the cake was excellent, and I got a free apple as someone was giving some away from their tree 🥰🥰
Now happily in bed, which feels great as I changed the sheets earlier, and rotated the mattress, and have had the dehumidifier in the bedroom for the last 5 hours 😂 It still says 68% humidity 🙄 but that's a considerable improvement on the 86% it said when I switched it on! 🙄9 -
Eek - that's the sort of humidity levels we used to get in the flat occasionally and I remember how horrible it felt, so good call to get the dehumidifier on I reckon!
Hurrah for a cheerful evening with tea, cake and apples too!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning chums 😊
Not much financial to report. Worked at home yesterday, then went into the city for a leaving do - 3 of my colleagues are leaving all at once 😭 And not being replaced 😬 Anyway, I drove of course, so no drinking. £2 for parking (comes out of the diesel & parking budget) plus £3.30 for a pint of fizzy pop (someone bought me a soda water later but I avoided getting into rounds - some people were very hammered!) Gave a colleague a lift home (he was one of the very hammered ones) and finally got home myself about 12.30.
We're now happily ensconced in a cafe - our first one this week! 😂 Might not seem like much of an achievement but we'd got into some very cafe-heavy habits later 😬 Anyway, this is from the joint treats budget.
A restful day today I think. Sun's shining so I'll do some washing and potter about a bit. And maybe a bath later. Tomorrow we're off to a wedding anniversary party - I think food is provided but there will likely be some spending on drinks. We're staying with friends, and Mr C has a band practice with them on Sunday morning, so I might find a cafe to read my book in.
So bimbling along uneventfully here!11
