Ooh, and while we're talking finances, I've realised our Co-op regular saver matures in September - £250 a month at 7% means we should be due £113 interest 😊 So my 'make £5 a day' plan for September is nicely on target, albeit unintentionally!11

@Cheery_Daff - Wasn't there a book a good few years ago that said something about manifesting your intentions by releasing them into the ether/universe as an intention? Perhaps it is enough to say you will make 5gbp a day, and the universe is co-operating!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Well, my week has started broadly to plan 😊 Yesterday was a nice easing back into work (and into the new office), and I had a nice time staying at friend's house. Been in the office again today, but just arrived home.
Mr C has been to a funeral quite a distance away, so he stayed in a hotel last night and won't be back til late tonight, so I need a plan for the evening...
I COULD nip to the language club... 🤔 I do keep meaning to go and it's only once a month... But I'm not feeling it, and it would mean leaving home in about 45 mins (I've literally only just got here!) and being out til 9pm. Nope, decision made, I'm not going.
So, instead.
* food
* washing on & hung up inside
* might get some soup in the hay box - we've got a load of carrots that need using up
* unpack from staying out
* sort breakfast, lunch and clothes for being back in the office tomorrow
* get photos onto the laptop and do a blog post
* flute practice?? Maybe...
* wash and dry hair, won't have time in the morning
* bit of crochet in front of the tv
Oh, and I've got an important meeting tomorrow, so I'd like to do a small bit of prep. I applied for a job earlier in the year, and didn't get an interview, but the head of dept did get in touch and said she'd like to meet. We arranged, but I had to cancel when Mr C Snr's ceiling fell in. Tried to rearrange but their PA didn't respond, and I put off chasing thinking maybe they'd just ignored me on purpose...
Anyway, got a grip on myself and contacted the PA again, and it's arranged for tomorrow 😬 Not entirely sure what to expect - it's not an interview, they didn't want to interview me! But it's a meeting with the boss at a place i would quite like to work in the future...

Anyway, that's quite a list, as usual. Let's be more realistic.
6.30-7.30 HOUSE & PREP
* food
* soup in hay box
* washing on
* unpack
* lunch for tomorrow (from freezer) and breakfast (smoothie)
* decide outfit
7.30-8.15 THINKING HIGH THOUGHTS
* find and re-read job application
* quick whizz of the dept website
* think about what to say (but don't overthink!!)
8.15-9.15 BEAUTIFYING
(* hang washing up)
* shower, wash hair
* dry hair
* paint nails 😂
9.15-10 COMPUTER
* either photos and blog post, or finances
10 onwards
* crochet, TV, and a bit of light napping
Ready, steady, GO!6 -
I was hoping that the PBs would co-operate this month & give me £400 but £200 will have to do. Still annualised that is 4.8% so not too dusty. Note to self - the PBs are never going to solve your overspends/lack of attention to future budgets.4

As always Cheery, amazed your list has anything after 10pm - my list for then involves reading (maybe) and sleep! But thanks for the reminder - I need to knit some more dishcloths, so I’ll go get my needles while I’m watching TV.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ha, I'll still be at the start of the list by 10pm at the rate I'm going!
Had some food then decided to prioritise the meeting prep- having NOT been nervous before, now I've started thinking about it, I'm fretting it might be more like an interview and I'll feel woefully unprepared! 😬6 -
