Has anyone read Harriet Wistrich's Sister in Law? I heard her on Desert Island Discs this morning and she sounds very interesting and her legal cases are part of important advances in how women are treated by the legal system.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Finished The Risk of Darkness by Susan Hill last night. Will wait for DSis to finish the next in the series. In the meantime I will read Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield. I don't know, I haven't seen You've Got Mail in ages. I did watch some of Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally over Christmas as they were on TV.
I could not get into that Harlan Coben book so I stopped. I might go back to it.
I bought a book I saw recommended on a financial site. My Money Journey - How 30 People Found Financial Freedom - Jonathan Clements.2 -

I loved Ballet shoes too and I think she also wrote Thursdays child which became a TV series.
I am currently reading All the colours of the dark by Chris Whitaker. It is full of twists and turns and characters that elicit both empathy and frustration. The writing style of quite pithy and insightful. It reminds me of another author, but I am still trying to recall who.

In "you've got mail" the character starts waxing lyrical about the various shoe books - "
Noel Streatfeild. Noel Streatfeild wrote Ballet Shoes and Skating Shoes, and Theatre Shoes, and Dancing Shoes and..."
I never knew if it was a line in a movie or something true. but it appears it's real....Ballet Shoes (novel) - WikipediaI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
