Thank you !!  That's the one!!!  Will look at his other books too.

A cheese book seems appropriate as the OH has been dipping in and out of a wine book over the last couple of months.

Any idea about Palmer's writing style?  As tasty as cheese may be the author's writing could make it as palatable as dust.
If you look at the kindle version on amazon it has a sample you can read.  It also as a book for English cheeses
Can you read those on an ordinary pc?  I don't have a kindle.

There are Kindle apps for both Apple and Android phones.  (I read mine on my phone.)

You don't need an app...you can do it on the normal Website too. Pick a book and there is a read sample option

I've just got in from a lovely evening listening to The Bookshop Band. It was such fun: I found them somehow performing during lockdown, so when I saw they were coming to our local bookshop I just ... booked! All their songs have links to books, and they often perform in ... bookshops!

  • I haven't been reading much at all lately. I think the last book I read was one by Frieda McFadden. They are good, but all get a bit samey.

I got two books for my kindle. Wintering: The Life Changing Sunday Times bestseller by Katherine May and I pre-ordered The Power of Enough: Finding Joy With Your Relationship with Money - Elizabeth Husserl. I'm going to start the first one next week.

Good isn’t it? I’m waiting for the final one of the 3 to make its way to my local library.
