Latin :p (and other things too, because let's face it, I couldn't survive with this only "talent" :D )

I admire people who deal with their debts like you do on this board. It is already very hard to stick to a budget to SAVE MONEY, let alone when you have to repay debt.

    You guys are stars

    Hi Buffy!

I have read your whole thread (I was very intrigued my your username and then got caught in your story :D ).

I wanted to say a few things that may not make any difference to your problems but: I think you are a very courageous and sensitive woman. And I admire you for trying to solve your problems. So there you are! :D

I could write a novel telling you how I can emphasize with you. I am not in debt, but I am really bad with money, but REALLY. And I had the feeling that I was reading my own thoughts while reading you :o .

If you want to move out, why don't you try housesharing? It is not just for students. I have a 30 year old colleague who lives in a houseshare while saving for a deposit for a house.

As for your job: oh how I understand you :p . I am a teacher too, an NQT. I try not to work in the evenings. I arrive very early in the morning (7.15) and leave at 6 in the evening but try never to bring any work home. I work during the weekend too, but I set a certain number of hours for this.

And I love pets too! I have 2 guinea pigs and a lovely hamster that I rescued 2 weeks ago :D

Come on Buffy, you can do it! I will bookmark your thread and follow your adventures :D . You are a star :T

Sursum corda! (now you know what I teach:p )

    Ellie

PS: the car bit: driving has changed my life.

Wow, that is a lovely post, I nearly cried reading it. I am very touched.
thank you. It makes a huge difference, believe me.

I will be back later when I have got myself together:o

I'm off line for a while and you post loads for me to catch up. You're doing well and should be proud. My OU is going very slowly, shouldn't have chosen 'Death & Dying' it's heavy going and a lot of work for the points.
Ellie - what do you teach? I'm inthe dark
Ooh I had a look at the death and dying thing, sounded grim - it is then?
(((((hugs))))))))) to you my regular xxxxxxx

I haven't done any work today like I was supposed to my bloody sister and her bf came round. I can't bear that. next saturday I am going to the library so there, that way I don't spend my afternoon resenting her and feeling stupid.

Tomorrow it is up early, clean out furrries, tidy up mark books and write essays....

oh and plan mon and make a WW shopping list AND sort out new phone.

Today I posted one ebay thing (and felt dead guilty cos I'd work ed out the postage wrong:o ) went to tend my Nan and Grandad's grave, sorted Avon, but haven't done my order yet, ooops got to that tomorrow.

and went shopping saved 15.26 off my bill in superdrug and stocked up on pet food(not in superdrug obviously).

most of the day was wasted but it was a heavy week so hey I kicked back today

tomorrow must count though. animals first, then work

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi Buffy!

What a lovely day, isn't it? I took the piggies outside today, in their run, and they were so happy and running everywhere, bless 'em :D

I understand you have a rat? Which other rodents do you have?

I am almost ready for tomorrow. I still have 1 lesson plan to prepare and a batch of translations to finish :D

    How was your day today?

You are right. If you can't stand it when your sister is visiting, then you should go out. No need to make yourself miserable. You don't owe her anything, and I am like you, I can't stand people who lecture and lecture and lecture. I am sad you don't get along with your sister. I am very close to mine, and there can be such a deep meaningful relationship between siblings. I suppose it's the "we are from the same womb" thing, LOL :rotfl:

I will be back later to see how you get on ;)

I promised I'd follow your thread regularly, and I will :D

 5 rats, are you mad? I hate rats ( I think its those tails) and always told kids you're not having a rat:shocked: Please don't tell me how cute or clever they are as kids have tried but now given up. Now thats me never invited round! All quiet at work so quick visit to my favourite site.
Ellie- Oops, should have known its Latin. We all had to do it at my grammer school. That noise is my latin teacher turning in her grave. I looked at latin course at OU but not sure if its for me.

Hehe Kika, you are forgiven! Errare humanum (sed perseverare diabolicum):D

I love learning ancient languages that nobody talks anymore. I am a geek :p

Buffy, I so wish we could live together, LOL. I LOVE pets. I wanted to have a rat, but I have to say that the tail makes me cringe. I don't even know why as I am not afraid of them at all. I just can't do tails, LOL.

I have just rescued a hamster, and we are learning to get to know eachother. :D

Glad you had a busy day. At least, one doesn't have the time to have gloomy thoughts when busy (unless of course if you are teaching my year 9:o :p )

Ellie How do you rescue a hamster?
Buffy How you doing ? I had to take my daughter shopping for shoes then bought tea instead of doing it old style so spent too much (again).

The poor little thing had been left in a box next to my local pets at Home.

I am a big softie, so I took it under my "wing". He is so cute :D
