Friday
The waste wizards came, they worked for 2 hours, stuffed their little caged truck to the brim and there was still stuff left over (they haven't touched the back bedroom yet) so will have to re-book for another day. They worked hard and were diligent about bringing things to me that might have some value (I let them take some items and found them a pair of binoculars as well). It was like Mary Poppins' bag - items kept appearing including a set of golf clubs and the little trolley thing to carry them. The scrap man had taken some things from them, leaving a bit more room in the truck. One of them urged me to keep the 'le crewsay' stuff at the back of one of the kitchen cupboards - a large casserole which might be too heavy for me, a handy sized casserole, 2 pie dishes and a griddle pan all in the original volcanic orange. They couldn't take one of the pans as it had oil in and couldn't take paint either so I have around 20 assorted colours including lilac I recognise as being one of mum's choices (so more than 30 years old) and the deep blue and violent orange of the bedrooms.
I was there before 10 am (put cards with 'keep' written on, on the shelves and other items that were staying and collected some unused toiletries for the food bank and some spray cleaners - no point letting them take them and then having to buy more) and it was 2 pm when I got home (it had started to rain so had a longish wait for a taxi). I didn't do much physically but I was completely wiped out and came upstairs as soon as I'd eaten. I took ibuprofen before bedtime because the various aches would have stopped me nodding off. I slept well and nothing is hurting this morning as long as I don't try to do anything. I had my pills and a shower and spent the rest of this morning reading, sleeping and drinking lots of water.
Had to go downstairs for food and tried to do a few bits. I think if I feel the same tomorrow I'll just stay up here and do admin tasks - transfer information from online and old notebooks to where it should be, delete more old emails (resisted 2 good offers this week as I decided the next sale will come along soon - including the bedspread I love but it's still a want not a need and a big reduction on some paint I recognise as being excellent for coverage, lovely finish and quick drying). I have done a few orders this afternoon - a small food order and random items (luxuries like 5 l buckets and face masks) from my list.
Grateful for sleep, books and funny films, the waste wizards (I moved some of the paint off the landing into the bathroom cupboard, they were dragging out builders bags of stuff, so glad not to be doing it by myself)

Those waste wizards sound like they're worth every single penny, grandmanerd.Today I am grateful for a wonderful lie in, for waking up to sunshine, for the rugby (nearly the end of the 6 nations and I don't think I've mentioned it once- shame on me🤣), for my washing machine, for a visit from a neighbourhood cat.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

A great day if achievement @grandmanerd! You deserve a rest now 😊
Lovely weather here today. I had s lie in, then headed to town, stoppjng to buy compost on the way. Went with mum to get some coins valued, waited an hour before it was our turn, only to be told they're commemorative coins, so not worth a lot! Oh well, at least we tried. Went food shopping, then I dropped her off & came home.
Put the shopping away & had a quick lunch, then went out to the garden to potter for a couple of hours. Turned quite cool then, so came indoors & had a hot chocolate 😋
Jotted my spends down, then watched TV & did some knitting. Quite tired now.
Grateful for a sunny day, time with mum & tome in the gardenUse it up, wear it out

Early night last night as my headache wouldn't shift. Today up early for horse riding with a friend, we timed it terribly as we got absolutely soaked, so not the most fun but I rarely catch a rainstorm when I ride so it's not the end of the world when it does happen.
Was going to get my car washed as it's filthy but the machine was broken so kept my NSD.
Ticked a couple of things off my to do list. Used chatgpt to help me with something for the first time ever and found it super helpful! Generally just kept today as a bit of a lazy day, and why not9 -

A dry day, so hung the washing out. Was busy watching a rabbit or a hare in the field behind us, when a little wren popped in to view. Spent a lovely couple of minutes watching it bob about, as I hid behind a towel.
Read a long chapter of my book, then went for a 4.5 mile walk with DH. Made a memory cushion from a shirt this afternoon, for a customer. Had intended to get 2 made, but will have to do it tomorrow night instead. Drove 30 miles each way to pick DS3 up from his GF's. Met her parents, who seem lovely.
Grateful for wildlife & spring flowers, a nice walk, a dramatic bit in my book 😃Use it up, wear it out
