Oh Shrewbie, that is such a long time to spend breaking up. I remember you'd previously mentioned a make-or-break situation about your futures. Sending you muchos abrazos y amor.Apologies for being a rather absentee landlady this month. I've recently upped my happy pills so that is now helping to dispel the 'why bother? Can't be bothered' state.I'm enjoying being active this month (so far!) although it'd be handy if I could do some garden stuff one day soon...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!9

Spend day today due to working in Central and not being able to bring lunch. Goodness me lunches are extortionate in London, for the amount I paid I could've had a 3 course meal somewhere! Not much else to report, renewed my contents insurance at a cheaper price (same cover). As it was a spend day I also ordered a cushion for the car (one that supports your back) as am really suffering with back pain on car journeys at the moment. Willing to try anything to improve it rather than accept defeat that my car is too low for me!8

Today I am grateful for getting some beautiful flowers yesterday, for a good gym sesh, for not spending a bean, for pip and DH sorting out some recording stuff for a drama performance, for a helpful receptionist at the doctor's.

Sending hugs @weenancyinAmerica, hope things improve for you all soon.
Hung washing out before work, as DH had a hospital appointment. He managed to find a dvd we needed to complete a set, in a second hand shop 😊 Meanwhile I had a very tough morning at work, thankfully the afternoon was better!
Came straight home & after checking my messages, etc, did some more if my jigsaw. After tea I unpicked a zip, replaced it, then fixed another one. Did more jigsaw & noted money in my book. Very tired tonight.
Grateful for a better afternoon, the washing nearly drying, coming home to a warm fire & DH had bought me a present 😃Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Greetings from the rain.
Will need to catch up on reading.
Might declutter a cabinet today.
And donate 2 sleeping bags to the homeless people.
I am still at home, but some help is finally coming through, will try and look for a private therapist today as well though, as I do need some continuity.

Rainy day indeed today! Hello everyone, was a bit quiet in the past week as I had some doctor's results and then I was away for the weekend (first time off in a few months, really enjoyed it).
After the visit with the specialist a couple of weeks ago he prescribed some blood tests and the results came out confirming what he thought - PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), for which we are going to discuss treatment next week - plus an unexpected high platelet level, for which he sent a letter to my GP recommending we check the levels again in a month and go from there if they are still high. The PCOS is not a surprise, and there are things that can be done to keep symptoms and potential future complications at bay, but I must admit the platelets made me freak out a bit, as a generally anxious person. Luckily the weekend abroad (we went to Paris, had a lovely relaxed time and had amazing food) helped to put things back into perspective and reduce the overthinking, however I need to do some more work on it, now that I am back to my usual routine.
Yesterday I started work after taking 1 day off on Friday, and my manager was immediately on my case without even giving me time to catch up on emails. I had a chat with my colleague last week when I was in the office, as he also is feeling the pressure and the mood lately, but we don't really know what to do about it. I don't think it is very healthy (I'm sure my platelets agree), but I wouldn't know what else to do, apart from forcing her to respect the minimum boundaries.
I've caught up with all posts, sending big hugs to everyone, as I can see everyone is having a tough time for various reasons, and I absolutely love the turtles for all the support always available to others.
I just received the new council tax bill in the post, which made me a bit depressed as it's a whole £15 a month higher than last year, and it's now a hefty £205 a month, despite us living in a tiny flat. On the other hand, this morning the energy provider sent me the estimate of my new yearly spend projection based on the energy prices from April, and it seems like the extra expense in the council tax might be evened out by the savings in energy bills. We shall see.
My NSD's are crying a bit this month, as Paris was a bit expensive, tonight is crochet club so I'll have to buy a drink at the pub, so no NSD today either. So I am still stuck on 3 NSD for now!
Today I am grateful for:- having already planned to go to the office on Thursday this week instead of Tuesday, luckily avoiding the commute in this terrible weather
- crochet club tonight
- starting a new crochet project today (a beach dress for a friend) which makes me dream of Summer.
