Co-op Regular Saver Not Appearing in Online Banking
Comments
-
I applied for the RS last Thursday and later the same day I received an email to say that my application was successful.
Their systems are so antiquated, that what takes other banks a day to complete takes the Co-op a few days, so I expect it to show in my app early next week.0 -
Well I applied at 8am on the 22nd (the morning it went live) and all I've had is one email stating "Thank you for completing your application for our Regular Saver. This email is to confirm we’ve successfully received your application ...". Nothing since1

I applied on Thursday which was acknowledged by email. I had had to find the account from the home page, click on apply and then log in. I couldn't start the process without first visiting the home page.
On Friday I received a text saying to call them because they needed further information.
Turned out I had used a different title from the one they already had recorded for me and, in order to link the new account to my existing current account and two savings accounts, they needed to have only one title. It was not enough to have first name, surname, address, and phone numbers all matching. (And possibly NI number as I can't remember that was required.)0 -
It always takes between 2-4 working days before you can see their savings accounts in online banking / on the app0

I notice a message in the Co-op app saying that they are taking down mobile/online services from 8pm tonight (26/2) "to enhance your experience".
On a Monday rather than over a weekend? From 8pm rather than a more usual midnight-ish?
Rather odd system update behaviour. If I needed a chunk of cash out of the Co-op tomorrow think I'd bring the transaction forward a day.1 -

3 working days on from applying for the RS, I have now had an email advising my sort code and account number. Sadly, the account number is still unknown to CoP, and also doesn’t show in my COOP app / online banking, so I cannot make any deposit yet. I have tried sending my opening deposit from Santander, Chase and Nationwide 🥸. May be tomorrow……

Try making the payment from your Co-op Bank account. I've had this issue with Nationwide before (account open but not yet showing on CoP from external bank accounts). An internal payment (or transfer) worked.

Perhaps wait overnight (again) then. At least the 12 month period doesn't start until they receive the first deposit...
