Got the carrying out checks letter for it yesterday

Interestingly it says we're looking forward to welcoming you to the co-operative bank.

So they can't even get generic letters right.

Erm I'm already with you co operative bank, I had to get a current account with you before I could even apply for your regular saver.

Co-operative Bank savings accounts are quite slow and tedious to open (in my experience anyway) and for some reason, required ID every time from me. My regular saver was visible within 2-3 days, so I’d give them a call as it definitely doesn’t sound normal. I’m wondering if they’ve created you a separate log-in, and you might need to merge.

I applied for a regular saver and after been sent an email yesterday saying it had been approved but not seeing in the app I came across this thread. So over a year on and things are no better.

I can understand how Co Op can be incredibly frustrating but my reg saver with them pays 7% so I can put up with a lot of frustration before my fuse blows. Is it still paying 7% ? If it is, it's up there with some of the best.

It takes some time to appear, but it does - i did the current account 24th July and saver 28th and they were ready and setup to transfer in the app on the 1st

Yes they do pay 7% on 250 a month, first direct pips it with 300 a month limit but both good to have if you max out other savers like Santander Edge

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Perhaps the reason those organisations which can pay 7% is because they have cheap IT
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
