Ooh I last switched to NatWest in 2018, so I should be eligible for this one 😊1

Nothing in my email either! There was an offer Sept - Dec 2020. There definitely wasn't an offer between April and August that year (as there were none during the first lockdown), but I can't be certain about Jan, Feb, March. You can use the Wayback Machine to check. Thanks for the pointer. I found a thread back in Dec 2019 where I asked if anyone had their bonus. (£150 at the time!). Looks like bonus wasnt paid until Feb 2020 though
Mind you, I did the switch in 2019, so I would be eligible??0 -
It'll be an interesting question on the terms - I switched to NatWest in December 2019 so the question would be on how they define "taken advantage of a switch offer since 1/1/2020" - if I switched in 2019 but say the bonus was paid in 2020 would they argue I wasn't eligible? I can see my switch was completed 19/12/2019 but the bonus was paid 13/2/2020DJSINGH said:WillPS said:DJSINGH said:Does anyone know when the offer ran back in 2020? Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes. I just added a Chase account via the app and used that. No card. No direct debits. Just £1 in the account.HillStreetBlues said:Can I open an new account with bank A today then once account is opened switch to bank B to get the award?3 -
By the terms of the conditions you aren't eligible for the offers if you've had any switching money from NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank since 1st Jan 2020 (which sadly rules me out for all three!).
However in the past their systems, whilst capable of enforcing this rule for each bank directly, didn't seem to stop switch payments if you'd had the offer from another bank.
E.g. if you've had a payment from NatWest since 2020 then you won't get the payment from another NatWest switch, but might be successful with RBS (but have no recourse if not as the T&Cs should exclude you!)1 -
I'm new to Chase and have set up a 2nd donor account, do you need the card details for the switch - do you even get a card for the 2nd account as it asked if I want to spend from the 2nd account?Organgrinder said:

Is this your first time using Chase as a donor? I've just switched one for the Coop offer. Wondered if they might take offence if I open another so close to switching out.Organgrinder said:
