I switched to NatWest in June 2019 so well before 01 January 2020.

The switch cut off was June 2019 and £125 was paid in August 2019 and £50 in June 2020 (satisfying the condition that the account remained open after1 year).

The current offer states.

"If you've previously received a switcher incentive from NatWest Group since 01 January 2020, you will not be eligible for this offer."

I guess this means I am not eligible since I have received a switcher incentive of £50 since 01 January 2020.

You should try. I would say that the incentive was in June 2019 and they just chose to pay it at a later date. And even if I am wrong, they might not notice.

Switch completed last Wednesday, 1250+ deposited on Friday, app installed during the weekend, no sight of the bonus yet Definitely eligible - last time I had bonus was in 2019.

As you only fulfilled the terms of the offer over the weekend then you should receive the bonus sometime this week.

Please could I check - I am trying to do the switch through Natwest's website and it says I need to change my existing Natwest account to a reward account - is that right? No option to just 'switch' my non-Natwest account!?

So long as you have one of the account types listed as eligible, there's no need to change. As an existing customer use this form:

I’ve read some things elsewhere that people received it soon after using the card in a cash machine. Doesn’t seem to be a fast rule, but potentially an idea

You only met the last of the criteria (installed/used the app) at the weekend...
