@Natty68 good luck with the new car
I feel you on the BP issues, I really ought to be taking mine, but it's such a faff! Last two reviews the nurse has written down decent numbers, but way below my home readings. Maybe it's my machine, but I'm a bit paranoid that she's just writing it low for an easy life!
I find it hard to get anything done in half term, even though I have time. Junior Flamingo is fairly content to do his own thing while I work. But I had a big blitz last week, do less to do today.
S&s x2, WMx1, general tidy, gas and elec paid
To do: floors, TD, WUDUPA
Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

And it's me again too. I've tidied all through, showered and dressed, made my bed, S&S'd kitchen and bathroom, dusted and hoovered all through downstairs, given Rosie some attention, and done an online jigsaw
Enjoying a cuppa with toast and marmalade now (DH has gone to SW), then I'll get on with the admin. The cheque from my sale of a few books and CDs has arrived, and as soon as I have paid that into my bank account via the relevant app, I shall be £21 better off - so I shall not delay any longer...
Done!

I might just have prioritised finishing my library book over flying. Thank you for the recommendation, ASB, I really enjoyed it x

@mumtoomany it's shame there are no younger people going into farming. You wonder how we will get our food in the longer term. I suppose more imports or larger, more commercial farms, neither of which is good. What I can never understand is that we hear that British farmers aren't paid enough for their lambs or their wool (and I don't doubt that this is the case) but lamb is much more expensive than beef, pork or chicken. Why is this? Are the supermarkets and butchers making a bigger profit out of lamb or does it cost a lot more to rear lambs than other animals?Good to see you posting @Asparklierblonde Hope you are ok.It's a video I found on YouTube a few years ago and have done it several times; the chef is quite funny too. Even A, who is very difficult to please discerning really likes it. I serve it with mash as I find polenta, which he suggests, dull.hope @pigpen and any other poorlies are feeling better,This morning after doing A's eye drops I popped to the shops for a couple of things and came back and made lunch, did more eye drops, ordered some more of the apricot kernel exfoliant I use and am now about to wash up. Later, A has a GP appointment about his new shoulder pain (he thinks he might have arthritis there now to go with it in his hips, knees and spine) and his toe problem. Later on it's going to be pancakes. Yipeeeee!!

Afternoon all,
Oil still hasn't been delivered, so my motivation to do much, is also missing!Twinkly Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room -Hmmm .... I gave the utility sink a really good going over and got rid of most of the paint splatters ... DH uses that sink for washing up after decorating, but leaves paint everywhere. It looks a lot, lot better now. However, in reality, that's about all I have done ... oh apart from getting dinner out of the freezer for later (lamb tagine) and some mince/passata to defrost, to make into chilli for Thursday.
Off to a "Future Health" appointment shortly, which I've had to rearrange several times already due to flu/colds ... they'll take my blood and my blood pressure. Not sure what else.GC - March 2024 -8
