My blood results are the same standard thing and I have to have them redone next month when I take Pixie.. not the 12th .. Twinkle has a hospital appointment that day. Pixie has a bit of snot so we need to keep an eye out for the HSP recurring and she is to go to the hospital if it recurs.

S&s x2, WMx1, out on line. I've done almost nothing today. I'm not sure what's going on, just no energy, and its also half term so Junior Flamingo doesn't want to do anything but chill.

Thanks for the thread
Manic Monday - The Lounge, Hallway, stairs and landing
Level 1
If it's not too grim open some windows for some fresh air - opened the bedroom windows this morning to air them out.
If you have a woodburner/real fire attend to that first - cleared the ash from the fire and taken it down to the allotment for spreading at an appropriate time (wood ash only).
Clear gibble - got frustrated at DH's DIY gubbins which have now been sitting on the landing since early December with the "I'm going to use them shortly" .... have put them in an even more annoying location until I'm forced to move them downstairs myself as he'll no doubt not see that !
Plump and straighten cushions
Level 2
Vacuum floors
Extras
S&s kitchen
s&s bathroomCouple of loads of washing done, with one almost dried on the line - all now firmly in the kitchen over the airer to finish off.
Washing put away
Ironing firmly ignored
Now run out of oil for the heating / water, so decided to retreat under a blanket - will light a fire shortly. Oil is on order, so hopefully will be replenished within a couple of days .... not the best time to run out, but hey.GC - March 2024 -9 -

I've got back on the flying treadmill today a bit. Did a volunteer shift at a local NT cafe with my friend's husband, both of us for the first time. Time flew past and we managed to keep up with the crockery coming through. What it'll be like on a really busy day I can't imagine! Came home and finished cleaning the en-suite, put towels through the tumble drier, emptied the dishwasher and dusted the lounge and 2 bedrooms.Collected our dear cat's ashes from the vet. Haven't told my OH yet, don't want to upset him til he gets home.Make £2025 in 2025

Well done @roundtuit on the weight loss .@mumtoomany I think you should call yourself Sheeptoomany lol. Aren't there any youngsters going into farming in your area? This morning I went out for the paper and to the end of the road for a couple of things. When I got back I cleaned the bathroom basin and mirror and the loo and also the floor. I then vacuumed the sitting room and hall. A's niece, who lives in Germany, was coming for lunch so I made an Italian casserole called pork al latte from a recipe I came across on the internet a couple of years ago. IT's very easy and not too much of a faff, but delicious. I also made an apple crumble. When I was doing the Waitrose order I noticed they had frozen, sliced Bramleys so I bought a bag and used them for the crumble. It was a bit of a cheat but saved me a few valuable minutes. I defrosted them overnight in the fridge, as per the instructions, and they seemed a bit wet but the crumble was really nice, even if I do say so myself. After lunch I took A in the wheelchair to the park with his niece and then we came back for a cup of tea before she had to go for her flight. I then washed up and am now having a glass of wine before starting to prepare a light supper.9

Haha, @Cloth_of_Gold. We only normally have around 20 in winter, about double that in summer when we have lambs. B, next door, has around 350 ewes, plus lambs in summer. He spreads out his lambing more. They have a few early already, another batch to lamb in a few weeks then the last ones towards the end of April, same as ours. Much more sensible having lambs when the weather warms up. B's wife is young, but has to work at a "proper" job for them to have a quality of life. I don't know of any young farmers here. Most of us are in our fifties, sixties and seventies. To make a living you need many acres, and the young don't have the money for that. Keeps you young though.
Crumble sounds good, we had apricot crumble for pudding tonight.
@Valli, feel free to come and help with the sheep. The amount of rain we have, your swimming skills would come in handy.
@pigpen, I hope you your girls are all better soon.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.10 -
well I did my 30 lengths and it's done me in...I have tidied and put away but didn't have the necessary oomph to clean the LR. Bin bag dance danced, vacuum emptied. Washing dried on line, stuff I don't have to iron on maiden, socks paired and finishing off on radiator.
CoG wouldn't mind eyeballing that recipe

I've had Fabian all day and having him the tuesday and wednesday too..
I'm thinking tuna pasta tomorrow.. it is cheap and quick and will feed OH and DS2.. it'll be pasta (normal stuff and GF stuff) and sausages for the others.. and sea bass and rice for me..
I really need this cold gone.
