Money Moral Dilemma: Should I accept an expensive present from my boyfriend who owes me money?

    No I would not accept the gift.  I would say you appreciate the gesture but the biggest gift he can give you is to repay money he owes you for the flat deposit and rent and to sort out his finances.  Buying an expensive gift when he obviously cannot afford it is the very opposite of that.  Ask him to return it and then repay what you owe him.  Undoubtedly he has borrowed to buy it thus compounding his mistake.  This man is an idiot with money and I would be wary going forward with him.
