  • me again! older PCNs cannot be appealed online by the looks of it so I will post those. All others I can so I will appeal tonight through their website with proof of vehicle sale the same as I have been posting out.

dont like the thought of “appealing” for something which is not my doing but hey ho!

May I also ask, is there a limitation to the amount of times they can contact the DVLA to get keeper details? (Just in case details weren’t changed and I do this in the interim)

I recall reading in one of these threads on MSE that they can only request this once?
    Yes, only once.
@KeithP you legend, thanks for confirming!

So in essence…I confirm with DVLA about keeper, keep sending off proof of sale and it’s as much as “done” as can be on my side?

I will surely ignore all ZZPS letters and send them no proof as I’ve already passed it to the company that issued the tickets.

Do not say anything signed for.
I did send the first as recorded delivery just to ensure it could be tracked. I won’t send any more as tracked I’ll just make copies and pop in post box.
No, do not do that. Send everything online wherever possible. If using email, then send it to yourself as well.

If there is no option other than post, then send it from a Post Office counter and obtain a free proof of posting receipt. It is then presumed according to the Limitation Act that it will have arrived by the second working day if sent first class, or by the fourth working day if sent second class. Remember, email is free.
    It's the Interpretation Act 1978. :)
    Ta. Now crecktid.

Once per PCN. They are not permitted to recycle the information from previous requests, but they are permitted to make multiple requests for multiple alleged parking breaches.

Understood, so for example 10 PCN’s could have 10 requests but no double requests if already done once and no recycling info?

You’re all wonderful. I know it’s said many times across this board but this information is invaluable, so thanks all.

dataprotection@npmservices.co.uk will get through to NPM. You could also try:

    info@npmservices.co.uk
    contact@npmservices.co.uk
    legal@npmservices.co.uk
    appeals@npmservices.co.uk
    admin@npmservices.co.uk

...to name a few possibilities. Any that don't bounce back as undeliverable can be assumed to be working addresses to their
    domain. Worth a try.

Caution: Their MX mail is an "Accept All" domain. These domains will confirm that every email address exists, even if they don’t. In these cases, it is not guaranteed an email will be delivered to an actual user's inbox. At least the only published email of the data protection officer is guaranteed to get to a valid recipients inbox. Just advise the recipient to forward the email to the appropriate person/department.
  • Thank you @Debszzzz2 much appreciated! I’ll try what doesn’t bounce back

I’d prefer to email as using their online appeal portal there is never a guarantee of confirmation but an email is proof once sent :)

It may be proof it has been sent, but it is not proof it has been received. Send it to yourself as well. That way you can argue that since you received it, on the balance of probabilities, so did the PPC.

Note email addresses that bounce back, and more importantly, any that don't. As advised, not getting a delivery failure notification is a good indication it was received.

Sound advice fruitcake, I shall do as you say!
  • now just wondering how much trouble I could be in for potentially not updating v5c. Hopefully tickets aren’t enforced because of this error!!! all I can imagine is a stern judge really unhappy with that and making me pay because of it :(
