A picnic lunch in a small bamboo box.

An egg from our hens, hard boiled.
Cold chicken from the Sunday roast.
    A couple of Brazil nuts.
A slice of homemade kefir bread, with butter.
A small amount of lettuce, tomato, radish, carrot, red pepper, cucumber and celery salad.
A slice of homemade Bara brith cake.

    An apple.11p (Aldi super 6.)
A flask of filter coffee. (Aldi coffee beans £1.99)

I used just what we had, nothing special, I doubt if it cost more than £2.
  • Couple of LO salads for me tomorrow - I made roast celery and chickpea salad for lunch today plus have made another salad of LO new potatoes, cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg and olives. Kiwi and blueberries for afternoon snack.
  • I’ve made two days worth of couscous with cherry tomatoes, cucumber and peppers with a red wine vinegar and oregano dressing tonight. Will add feta and olives before serving 😋

Bless me for I have sinned! We arrived home from holiday 8pm (ISH) on Sunday and had no food in the house and I was at work 8 am Monday. So Monday and Tuesday lunch were courtesy of M&S!! Today is my day off and I have managed to go shopping (as well as a gardening mishap). So I am back to making lunches.

Holiday food was well lacking in fruit and veg, and I am really craving salad and fresh veg!! We still have leftover cheese so cheese salad for the next 2 days, l am looking forward to lunch.

Thursday: salad with leftover double Gloucester, yoguht and fruit

Friday: salad with left over smoked cheese, yoguht and fruit.

Saturday: noodles with crispy tofu and stir fried veg, yoguht and hummus with carrot and cucumber sticks.

Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"

DH has just got back from spending a few days with his mother. As far as I can tell he didn't eat any fruit and the the only veg were some frozen beans and tomatoes in a lasagne!

    Organic buffalo Mozzarella
    Mr Filbert's olives
    Organic vine-ripened cherry tomatoes
    Diced organic spring onions
    Organic home-cooked beetroot
Organic apple cider vinegar & Extra Virgin olive oil
    Organic kiwi fruit

Husband had Cheshire cheese instead of Mozzarella, and substituted an Oxfam organic mango and Brazil nut fruit bar, instead of the kiwi fruit.
