Morning @uralmaid I hope that the afternoon cream tea event went well yesterday. Your bird feeders certainly provide a good source of entertainment. Yesterday I enjoyed watching the birds queuing to use the bird bath. There is always something magical about hearing a cuckoo. Sadly, I do not hear them here, but in a previous garden I would hear them early on a morning. Enjoy the day, whatever you are doing.0

Thanks @Humboldt. The afternoon tea went really well. It was a long day though as I arrived at about 9.15 and didn't get home until 5pm. Definitely caused some pain in my feet and hips. Having a relaxing day today. Hubby has gone out for a ride on his new motorbike. Been pottering in the garden and reading. Hope you are having a nice day. The weather here is beautiful at the moment - warm and sunny. Forgot to add - it has been a very spendy week - not very MSE at all. Had to order oil so that was £630, then had to buy another awning for the motorhome to replace the one we bought a couple of months ago as when we finally had weather dry enough to erect it, it was not quite the right size. Hopefully once the new one arrives, we will be able to sell it and make a bit of the cost back. Then I ordered a mattress topper and 2 sets of new bedding - just cos I wanted to

Beautiful day here today Uralamaid, just off to woods to walk dog, then hoping to go gym and wash outside of car.
Haha you have been in a speedy mood, though all sounds like useful items. I try to make all my purchases mindful now which has reduced my impulse purchasing.
I have had a speedy month and am getting my false chimney breast and marble fireplace installed Thursday. Already wondering if I have made a mistake and worry I won't like it. The usual last minute worries I have over big purchases......Money SPENDING Expert1 -
Morning @bluenose1. They are all mindful purchases. Although - I just rang the people who are delivering my new tumble drier today and added a Ninja airfryer onto the delivery. For months I deliberated about getting one and then bought a single drawer Ninja 3 months ago. Really love it but decided I needed a bigger one (dual drawer). The other one will not be wasted as we will put it in the motorhome. Ooh exciting your new fireplace is coming this week. I bet you will love it once it is in place.I am the same - I always start getting anxious about whether I have made the right choice - especially about bigger cost items - but usually, if you have gone with your gut instinct, it turns out ok.1

Morning @uralmaid and @bluenose1 glad it's not just me that becomes anxious when making big purchases, even though I have triple checked everything ... and checked again lol. I hope that you are both making the most of this glorious sunshine that we are currently enjoying.

@humboldt Glorious day here, just been on 4 mile slow walk in the woods. I foolishly agreed to let the plasterer here at 6am today so we were both up and dressed by 5:45am, plus didn’t sleep well….
You guessed it he didn’t show up, he has rang and is now coming at 4pm after a job in Morecambe.
On the positive side it was a lovely sunrise and meant I was out walking by 7am.
My false chimney breast was installed yesterday with the new fire, and although still waiting for the plastering and marble surround I love it already. Was worried that the electric fire would be too false and the chimney breast would look odd, but both look great. Can’t remember if I mentioned it but there was a slight !!!!!! up with my new oven, it overhangs the housing by a cm. That was despite me getting a narrow depth one and measuring.!!! Got used to it now, and don’t even notice. Just glad to have a functioning oven.
Hope you are pleased with your purchases @uralmaid. I got the Ninja flex drawer which is quite big as can remove the divider, it has been brilliant, I have cooked chickens and joints of meat in it. Rescued my Christmas Day roast potatoes as they just weren’t going brown in normal oven.Money SPENDING Expert1 -
@Humboldt what a pain. I hate it when people don't turn up on time. Glad you enjoyed your early morning walk. @bluenose1 - glad you like your new fireplace and fire.Hope you both have a good weekend. I managed to get some weeding done and it was lovely to be in the warm sunshine. Had a Woodpecker on the bird feeder too.1

Morning @uralmaid how are you doing? My vegetable seedlings are coming along nicely, in fact the courgette plants will be ready to plant outside soon. The weeding of the garden borders is constant, but it has felt great to be working in the sunshine once again (although it's a misty start today). I only have a small garden, but whilst weeding I saw a blackbird family feed their 2 chicks with grubs from the newly turned over soil. Simple pleasures.0
