Cloth_of_Gold said:Why do you drumming @Narc0lepsy ? Is it a hobby or are you in a band? Or maybe it's therapeutic - or all three!
Well a bit more report got done and a bit more knitting. 2 people already replied saying they wanted my old assessment resources so that's a great declutter.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning xx
So annoying to be wide awake at 6am on a Sunday! I clung to my bed til 7am, but the need for a brew then got me up. So I'm up, made my bed and had a brew.
I did finish the book last night- after a surprise visit from DS and his DF. I now have an invitation to the wedding, and invites to give to Pops & Babs, DB & DSil, and DNiece & her husband. Get ready to paarrrtttaaayyyy famalam 🥳
S has asked me to go over this morning to have a coffee with her and P. To take his mind off the fact the hospital is ringing tomorrow morning. And P has put some books to one side for me. My TBR piles just keep on growing. 🤓
Another brew and breakfast then I'll make a start.
Hugs

Morning all,
Another one wide awake at work time today, so annoying when we didn’t get home until pushing 1am. However, I did bring back some of the cheesecake (I needed the tin, in my defence), so with careful portion control, I should be ok for when the flylady bus arrives. I’ll put the kettle on too.
Got a shed load of jobs off the list yesterday, leaving, rather predictably, the admin ones. I have some cooking / baking on my list for today (seen a recipe for a grapefruit drizzle cake which I fancy. This may just be why me and Slinky aren’t best buddies…). Also the library books and some dressmaking material are both calling me. I have no desire to go to the allotment and see what a state it is in.
Right, second brew is calling. Have a lovely day all x5 -
Morning
Lovely evening out last night at a talk by Ranulph Fiennes. I was slightly anxious because DSs first train was cancelled so we picked him up at 5.30pm, had a table booked at a fish and chip restaurant for 6pm, left there at 6.45pm, parked the car at 7.05pm and got to the theatre at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Any number of things could have made this go very wrong but it was all fine (as DH and DS kept saying it would be).
So DS will need returning to the train station at some point today but other than that a lazy day is planned, although I want to get out for a walk at least. After this cold lingering for two weeks I am desperate to get exercising and have signed up for a cycling event later in the year so need to get training!
I hoovered and dusted a bit yesterday, off to put some washing on next.
Hope it's a good Sunday for you all, I would definitely be up for a trip on the Flylady bus, especially if there is cake! x7 -
Morning all. Another one here up fairly early.
I have done dailies, walked Poppet, put dry washing away and hoovered through. Have also prepared for DGD2 arriving for her sleepover later although I still need to get the play kitchen out of the shed.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
morning all
just doing my vertical half hour.
DD starts her new job tomorrow! My daughter is a dietician! I’m so proud of her, she followed her dream.
So I will be on tea duty all week as I expect she’ll be too tired and frazzled until she settles in so meal planning is called for. I also want to do some admin. Today we are expecting drizzle so no sanding. But i might manage some on Tuesday. Once i’ve finished the cupboard i’m currently working on I think i’ll do the little cupboard in the guest room/office. It’s the only cupboard with lighter doors…but white doors would mean it blends in with the room. And the overall new colour scheme. Plus I got a pack of 10 knobs and this would mean I’ll use 8!

Well done, that Valli-girl! With hindsight, that would have been my dream job. I even had the opportunity to start down the route, but didn’t realise at the time. Youth was wasted on the younger me. I’ve since done a couple of OU courses on the subject, which is how enlightenment struck me. Good luck to her for her first week.
Stalk soup being made. Smells better than it sounds - luckily. Wm x 1 run. Bread proving.5 -

Hello everyone.
@Valli well done your DD...
@YORKSHIRELASS I'm glad it all went well with your event with Ranulph...
This morning I spent nearly an hour catching up on all the ironing. It didn't help that part of the pile had been 'tissued" because I failed to detect one in a pocket before I put the clothes in the WM and transferred it to the TD. Lesson learned!
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
