Just WOW Valli.
Have decided to make school dinner style jam sponge.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Some progress made…
bathroom cleaned, new toilet brushes pleasingly put in situ, because a) I am a flylady and b) I maybe need to get out a little more 🤣. Floors vacuumed. DH did the LR floor as he decided to take a lamp apart. Now said lamp doesn’t work… Freezer tetris played, pud for this evening made (cherry and white chocolate cheesecake, in case you were wondering), WUDUPA x2, kitchen sink scrubbed. There might have been more, but I may be deluding myself.

Valli - I'll collect the Flylady bus from the depot and pick you up before we head darn sarf to sample Fayolle's posh pud. Anyone else coming? 😊 iona - you're coming. Well you did say you were free today 😉
All pots and pans DUPA. I have the coveted clear sink area 😇
Also Valli - I'll echo Jazee's WOW.
Going to continue reading the book I started this morning. I'm two thirds of the way through....looks like a readitinoneday novel. Some are 🤓

@Valli the doors look really good - much more modern .@roundtuit Miss Round, even I was up early today (well, by my standards)
as I was picking up a couple of friends from the airport. I had to take the wheelchair and the tri-walker out of the boot to make way for their luggage and the owner of a shop nearby kindly let me leave them with her, which was easier than carting them into the building. On the way to the airport I made a detour to the lovely deli/bakery and bought some cheese straws, and a croissant for A. I had an easy journey to Heathrow and their flight landed 30 minutes early, but only 5 minutes before I arrived as I had tracked it online and so knew it was going to be early. Unfortunately there was no stand for the plane so I had to hang around for over an hour before they came into the arrivals hall. The exact same thing happened the last time I met them.
After I had dropped them off at their house I stopped off to buy the paper and them went home briefly before going out for a walk to the shops at the end of the road. I came back and made lunch and then washed up. After lunch I watched a bit of low-quality TV () and then made tea and washed up again. Very little flying today I'm afraid. Having made a good start on the ROD I'm keen to carry on with it but haven't had much time today. I'll try and do some more tomorrow as it doesn't seem such a mountain now.

I'm procrastinating in front of the report I'm writing.
Yes I had a lie-in and moved pretty slowly, still feeling a bit rough so cold water swimming definitely not attractive. I'd told my swimming buddy yesterday that I probably wouldn't go today; she replied that her partner had had a cold since Monday....then messaged me this morning to say he'd tested positive for Covid (she hadn't). I may as well use up the just-expired tests and do one tomorrow, as I'm meant to be going to a concert with 2 friends on Tuesday and can get a refund if I cancel 24hrs beforehand.
Spent much of this morning finishing the jigsaw - yay, all done but one piece missing. Emptied vacuum carefully into a bag but it wasn't in there. I rang my mum to see if she'd found it as we started the jigsaw at her house over Christmas. She rang later to say she'd found it under the dresser in the dining room! It was easily the hardest one I've done - 50 trees of the world.
One load of washing done, hung out, brought in. I'll just sort it out soon in case any isn't quite dry.
One load through DW.
More tidying up in my study. I've advertised a few assessment materials on my professional association as I can't bear to bin them - but they are out of date now. I hoped someone may like some for training purposes. I don't know whether glossy pages recycle?
Filled bird feeders.
Plan for the evening - hope to do a bit more of the report; maybe more study decluttering and some drumming. Then I may start another jigsaw, do a bit more knitting. I'm checking my phone far too often to see if there is anything from Mr N, but he's clearly out of any range. Not a surprise but I still keep checking.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Why do you drumming @Narc0lepsy ? Is it a hobby or are you in a band? Or maybe it's therapeutic - or all three!

Hi all
I've had a reasonable day. Pottered about this morning (but I was not part of the lie-in brigade!) and cleaned the bathroom.
Settee throw is still on the line because it's not fully dried yet (it's of thick 100% cotton construction) and there's still no rain due - might as well make use of the wind that sweeps across from the park at the bottom of the garden!
Butcher order phoned through at lunchtime and delivered promptly just after 3pm such excellent service!
Visited DD's new house with DS just after lunch to see how they are settling in. It's coming on. There's more sorting out to do and they want to do this, that and the other but I told them, it will take time and you don't need to do it all at once. There's nothing there that's dangerous/mucky - the carpets might not be to their taste but they are clean and look fine as they are etc. etc.
But, I must say, the mention by @Valli etc. of Dandelion and Burdock took me straight back to my childhood. We would visit one set of grandparents who lived in Derby and were always treated to some dandelion and burdock! I've rarely seen it since I moved doon sooth...
Have a lovely evening peeps xxx

Evening folks. I managed WMx1, S&S x2, WUDUPA, general tidy before we went out. Total trip was 5.5 hours, but we thankfully have a new car! Fingers crossed she'll do us well. At the very least it means (hopefully) No more hired van at £350 a week
Tired tonight, so just TDx1, FUPAMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
